The Baptists, Methodists, Catholics, Lutherans, Pentecostals, Mormons and a few other faiths have three things in common they believe in Jesus Christ, that He is the Son of God and that He died and was resurrected for our sins.
So whats the problem?
The political pundits continue to try and make Mitt Romneys religious beliefs a big issue as he runs for the Republican presidential nomination. Different denominations of Christianity are just that different denominations which means different worship practices of the same fundamental Christian beliefs.
Some people have commented that they cannot support Mitt Romney because he is a Mormon. When they are pressed to explain why that is objectionable, they stutter. Still others are skeptical of Mitt Romney based solely on hearsay or lack of knowledge about Mormons.

1. Proving ANYTHING to you is not something I'm inclined to do.
2. I'm not following you anywhere. I came to a Romney thread and "presto!" there you were again. No one on FR can go to ANY Romney thread without seeing your name posted 10 billion times, so get a grip.
3. I'm "weird" because I think Mormons have just as much right to practice their religion as you do. Gotcha. Here's my stance on that....
I don't care what you think.
More ad hominem smears. What a surprise.
Don’t care what you think either. Do you care to address to higher than average suicide rate among Mormons or the higher than average anti-depressant usage among Mormons?
I didn’t think so.
You didn’t ask for CURRENT profs.
I didn't think so.
I responded to another poster who brought up the fact that Mormons commit suicide at a higher than national average.
Not every post on a thread is in response to the original post, or hadn’t you noticed that in your zeal to attack me?
Oh and BTW, my local news is just chock full of Mormon stories like this one, and their even posted in the LDS Church-owned newspaper. That’s another function of FR....talking about the news....even if YOU don’t particularly like the topic.
their=there for the spelling nazis
Colofornian claimed:
Ive read firsthand what one BYU prof is teaching in his class and I can tell you with 100% certainty that what this BYU prof is teaching is typical of what liberal profs are teaching nationwide...and that the old guard @ BYU would not have put up with this kind of content.
To which I responded:
Please be specific. Identify this professor and what he supposedly is teaching that is typical of what liberal profs are teaching nationwide. I find this assertion particularly suspect.
Apparently, for Clinton and you, "it all depends upon what the defintion of 'is' is," but for the rest of us folks who understand plain English when someone uses the expression "is teaching" that means a professor who "is teaching" CURRENTLY teaching at BYU.
I'm still waiting for the identity of the CURRENT BYU professor and what liberal stuff he/she is teaching typical of all other liberal professors. I won't hold my breath.
LOL!
Apparently not, until later.
It flew right over my head! ;o)
I later realized it was a joke.
Usually, I “get” these things, but this time I didn’t.
Too, I love a good Baptist joke, but usually they include casseroles. ;o)
I was laying my head on a BYU dorm pillow well before you even knew your daughter. I certainly know how conservative BYU students were at least once upon a time. But I'll concede that these days no doubt your campus pulse is better than mine.
Please be specific. Identify this professor and what he supposedly is teaching that is typical of what liberal profs are teaching nationwide. I find this assertion particularly suspect.
No. I won't give this prof an ever-widening platform for his liberal tenets. And it's not like he hasn't already been public with what he's pushing (I don't have any "inside" knowledge on him). It's not like the BYU admin folks aren't aware of concerns (they are). I frankly think the problem will correct itself, because I think you & I can actually agree that the main core of BYU is still conservative, and that conservative element will win out.
(There isn't it nice when we can actually agree on something?)
True...I over simplified.
Your post is absolutely correct.
Thank you!
I don’t suppose it has occurred to you that your continual ranting is giving more bandspace to the article about the poor woman that is warranted? Your vendetta is showing.
It is such common knowledge that Lying for the Lord is a practice of the LDS Church, that it had to defend itself on Mormon wiki.

And because I mention it, it is a “personal” attack? Yeah, right.
LOL. Linking to an anti-Mormon website gives vindication to your slander of LDS Church members? Riiigghht.
I’m sure it is to much better when you can slander an entire religious group as “lying for the Lord.” It is so impersonal and surely not a “personal” attack.
Oh, did you just “mention” it? Or have you claimed to have “personal” experience with it?
Its not difficult to read the posting history of the “flying inman” posse and determine who is actually “lying for the Lord.”
You can’t even tell the difference between a personal attack, and a stating of a fact that the LDS Church is often accused of Lying for the Lord.
Now - -let’s see your comeback. Are you going to accuse me of being bitter, a sinner, weak-willed, a bigot, a hater?....which will it be this time?
LOL. You have actually accused me of a crime. I’d like to see you top THAT one.
