Are your serious? Did you read the article? These kids are apparently entrapped in slave labor, or something close to it. Free-market dogmatists don't seem to realize that there are stories like this behind a lot of 3rd-world companies we buy from.

The Observer newspaper quoted the children as saying they had been sold to the sweatshop by their families... Some...were not being paid.

And anti-population control dogmatists don’t seem to realize that this is the inevitable result of people having more babies than they can feed, educate, and find a decent place for in society. Parents who can’t feed their excess children sell them to the highest bidder. And when excess children are extremely plentiful, the bidding doesn’t go very high. Many little girls have been sold by their parents to Thai brothels for $50. They’d probably feel lucky to have been sold to a Gap subcontractor, where at least they’d stand a chance of not getting AIDS.
