And anti-population control dogmatists don’t seem to realize that this is the inevitable result of people having more babies than they can feed, educate, and find a decent place for in society. Parents who can’t feed their excess children sell them to the highest bidder. And when excess children are extremely plentiful, the bidding doesn’t go very high. Many little girls have been sold by their parents to Thai brothels for $50. They’d probably feel lucky to have been sold to a Gap subcontractor, where at least they’d stand a chance of not getting AIDS.

"Anti-population-control dogmatists"? Would that be a veiled reference to "anti-abortion" advocates? Do you really think that "excess babies" are the reason for child labor, sex slavery, and the like? I.e. people are just animals and can't control their appetites--is that what you're saying? If you really want to know what is wrong in India, what creates situations like this sweatshop, you might read a book by an actual Indian, such as The Quest for Freedom & Dignity: Caste, Conversion & Cultural Revolution by Vishal Mangalwadi.
