Head of UN nuclear agency calls on Bush to ease Iran rhetoric
International Herald Tribune ^ | 10/28/7 | Brian Knowlton

WASHINGTON: Mohamad ElBaradei, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, urged the Bush administration Sunday to soften its rhetoric against Iran while maintaining diplomatic pressure on it to halt the nuclear enrichment that could lead to the production of a nuclear weapon.

But American lawmakers appearing on Sunday television talk shows were divided as to whether efforts to influence Iran had been helped or hindered by the administration's tough talk, exemplified by President George W. Bush's warning of "World War III" if Tehran obtained a nuclear weapon.

"We cannot add fuel to the fire," ElBaradei said on CNN. "I would hope we would stop spinning and hyping the Iranian issue." He also expressed frustration about the Israeli bombing in September of a building in Syria that U.S. and Israeli reports assert contained the beginnings of a North Korean-designed nuclear reactor.

He said that neither Israel nor the United States had shared any evidence about the facility with his agency, the United Nations body that is empowered to monitor such work. "To bomb first and ask questions later," he said, was decidedly unhelpful.

In an Oct. 17 news conference, Bush noted that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran had "announced that he wants to destroy Israel." He said he had "told people that if you're interested in avoiding World War III, it seems like you ought to be interested in preventing them from having the knowledge necessary to make a nuclear weapon."

This guy has already proven himself to be totally useless. Lead, follow or get the hell out of the way. In his case the latter applies.

Bush of course has to calm down, while Ahmadinejad can go own screeching for war, destruction and terrorism. More UN crap.

Mohamad ElBaradei, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency,
urged the Bush administration Sunday to soften its rhetoric against Iran...

(American translation of the motivation of El Baradei)
So that Iran can get off the first shot of a nuclear Armageddon.

Using an impossible-to-trace proxy of course.

What if it’s not just rhetoric? Ask yourself that Mr. UN, promoter of world peace. What have you done recently?

..He also expressed frustration about the Israeli bombing..

It just wouldn't be the UN without blaming something on the Israeli's.

I should make clear that, of course the Israeli's DID bomb the Syrian site, but what does that have to do with rhetoric about Iran?

The UN fears that every time the US or Israel actually does something, it shines a light on how useless the UN is.

In other words, Iran is the UN’s proxy in its fight to destroy Israel.

Heads of UN agencies do not lecture Heads of State...especially the Head of a State which is a permanent member of the Security Council.

This goober needs to be fired and sent back to whatever hell-hole of a country he came from.

Quite aside from what this raghead Mohammedan El Baridei has to say, do you suppose there’s anything to what Bush is saying? I mean, do you suppose he’s getting us ready for another war where we have to be sensitive to the feelings of the devotees of the Mohammedan cult? Is there any reason at all to believe that a president like Bush would allow anything other than a PC “war” in any country where the “Religion of Peace” is the dominant religion?

Frankly, I have serious doubts about the willingness of the American people to support any more “enemy sensitive” fighting.

No more “Hearts & Minds” wars.

From now on, we need to stick to overwhelming “Shock & Awe”!

“From now on, we need to stick to overwhelming “Shock & Awe”!”

Indeed. Don’t start a war, any war, unless you are willing to kill the enemy and kill the enemy and kill the enemy until the enemy is sick of dying. And the enemy is every man woman and child on the “other side”. Unless a country is willing and ready to do this, its leaders have no business bloviating about how big and tough and mean they are. They are none of these things; they are just evil blow hards.

Better idea!

The UN Nuclear Agency could be MORE FORCEFUL with nuclear renegade nations like Iran and N. Korea!

IF the UN Nuclear Agency does NOT produce better results within 12 months, they will be defunded.

That’s all we need to know.

Now go to your room.

The only result that will come from talking on and on about Iran is that by the time the UN actually reaches a decision, Khamenei will probably have died from the cancer he is rumored to have.

Enough yakking, we need to take some action and bring on the MOABs. If you do not strike first, you will be struck.
