Because we're your BASE, ya doorknob

No. You are not. The republican base consists of people who are actually members of the Republican party. If you eventually choose to support the GOP candidate, that's fine. But frankly until you join the GOP, your comments about my party should be ignored and dismissed -- they might as well be coming from a liberal or democrat. Because liberals, democrats and yourself have a lot more in common with each other then with me -- that's because I belong to the GOP, and you and they do not.

Only RINOs have been "punished" because they completely abandoned conservative principles.

Again, who are you to call anyone a RINO when you are not even a republican. That's hilarious. But if by RINO, you mean moderates, then I think moderates are doing just fine. We have a moderate in the White House, and the 2 leading republicans to be candidate for President are moderate as well.

All those points don't describe Rudy, and he's been compromised by his social liberalism and flawed personal life anyway. You can't be a fiscal conservative and a social liberal, & vice-versa.

Wow, you do sound just like the liberals and democrats now. of course you can be fiscally conservative and socially moderate as Rudy is. And to call him a "liberal" on issues like abortion or gay rights goes too far.

"As any New Yorker can tell you, the last word anyone in the 1990s would have attached to the brash, furniture- breaking mayor was "liberal" -- and the second-to-last was "moderate." With his take-many-prisoners approach to crime and his unerring pro-police instincts, the prosecutor-turned-proconsul made his mark on the city not by embracing its social liberalism but by trying to crush it." http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/10/26/AR2007102601808.html

Horse droppings. My non-membership in the GOP does not mean I'm not part of the Republican base. Actually, I do have to register as a Republican by election day anyway, so there. It means I'm a conservative, and it just so happens to be that most of the conservatives-libertarians running for office run as Republicans, whom I support.

If you eventually choose to support the GOP candidate, that's fine.

As long as it isn't Rudy, and if the GOP stops pissing on Paul, and as long as a strong, young conservative VP is chosen by Fred or Romney, then I will support the Republican .

But frankly until you join the GOP, your comments about my party should be ignored and dismissed

Refrain from criticizing the GOP? I shall do no such thing. My vote & donation dollars gives me the right to stick my nose into the affairs of the GOP.

they might as well be coming from a liberal or democrat. Because liberals, democrats and yourself have a lot more in common with each other then with me -- that's because I belong to the GOP, and you and they do not.

Oooh, aren't your precious. I bet you have a star on your belly like that old Dr. Suess cartoon too.

Ya mean he didn't really march in all those gay parades, or praise Margaret Sanger during NARAL speeches, or jump on the platform calling for gun control with Brady at his side? Ya mean those pics were fake?????

Yeah, right.

Well since this forum is of conservatives, by conservatives and for conservatives, and is NOT a Republican forum, why are you here?
