The republican base consists of people who are actually members of the Republican party.

Horse droppings. My non-membership in the GOP does not mean I'm not part of the Republican base. Actually, I do have to register as a Republican by election day anyway, so there. It means I'm a conservative, and it just so happens to be that most of the conservatives-libertarians running for office run as Republicans, whom I support.

If you eventually choose to support the GOP candidate, that's fine.

As long as it isn't Rudy, and if the GOP stops pissing on Paul, and as long as a strong, young conservative VP is chosen by Fred or Romney, then I will support the Republican .

But frankly until you join the GOP, your comments about my party should be ignored and dismissed

Refrain from criticizing the GOP? I shall do no such thing. My vote & donation dollars gives me the right to stick my nose into the affairs of the GOP.

they might as well be coming from a liberal or democrat. Because liberals, democrats and yourself have a lot more in common with each other then with me -- that's because I belong to the GOP, and you and they do not.

Oooh, aren't your precious. I bet you have a star on your belly like that old Dr. Suess cartoon too.

I never told you to refrain from criticizing the GOP. You have every right to say anything you want about anything.

But from my point of view, a non-republican who is making comments about my party should be ignored or dismissed. They don;t have the best interests of the Republican Party in mind. If they did, they would join the GOP.

But I don;'t think you'll have to vote republican this time around. It is likely that Ron Paul will run 3rd party on the libertarian line -- and that's the candidate you seem to support most anyway.

Given a choice between Rino Rudy, Hitlary, and a 3rd party Ron Paul I will gladly vote for Ron Paul. And for the record right now I am supporting Hunter, with Huckabee, Thompson, and Paul in that order behind him.
