Graham: No, he’s right. When Iran says he’s building a nuclear program, I tend to believe it. We need to protect Israel.
Schieffer to Levin: What if sanctions don’t work?
Levin: Keep military option on the table but don’t play into Iran’s hands. But Bush has gone too far by saying we can’t let them have the knowledge... strong sanctions are the answer. (yeah, that’s the ticket...)
I have a hard time connecting Democrats with sane foreign policy, or the logical handling of foreign affairs. They just don’t get it. They all say things that make no sense but are calculated to appeal to their radical base.
Carl Levin is calling for the U.S. to placate Iran with “carrots?” LOL!
And Graham says “I don’t mind nuclear power in Iran— as long as the Iranian military isn’t running it.”
LOL. Fun panel on Fox. Juan says the Administration was being secretive about the bunker buster. Brit says whadda ya mean, they put the request in the appropriation bill.
Juan’s problem, like most dems, is that he feels he must always criticize the Administration, whether he’s right or not.

Feinstein lauds the wildfire response.
Hunter praises the response as well and praises the Pentagon for cutting through the bureaucracy.
We will agree to disagree. Hillary needs someone with national security credentials. Hubby Bill got the support of ADM Crowe and he was awarded with the UK ambassadorship. At least Gore had some military service. Clark has announced his support of Hillary and there is an Arkansas connection. He also has some name recognition from running for President in 2004. I am not saying that he will be the VP nominee, but I do think he will be considered strongly by Hillary. Having personally met Clark and been briefed by him when he was Supreme Allied Commander Europe, NATO, his ambition is limitless. His resume as valdictorian of his class at West Point, a Rhodes Scholar, and PH winner gives him a sense of entitlement and arrogance. He fits in well with the Clintons. I don't think the Dem VP candidate will come from the present field of Presidential candidates.
No president since Lincoln was a US Rep and no senator since Kennedy. This election will be historic if one is elected.
Bush 41 served two terms in the House, Kennedy seved three terms. LBJ served six terms in House. Ford was not elected but served in the House. Garfield is the only man ever to be elected to the Presidency straight from the House of Representatives. You are correct that JFK was the last sitting senator to be elected.
This election will also be historic if a woman is elected, an African-American, an Italian-American, an Hispanic-American, etc.
I still believe Hillary will choose a sitting or ex-governor. One major area she lacks is executive experience and she will want to overcome that.
Could be, but with Clark she gets a twofer, i.e., executive experience and national security credentials.
I missed the preview yesterday. Even tho I am trying to keep my blood pressure under control by not watching as much of the Sunday yabber shows as in years past, I love the way your write, so enjoy reading those previews.
Ted Olson supports Federal Shield for reporters. BTW, who cares about nominations anymore(other than appointments to the court), any shadow interim appointment will do.

Bring me your criminals, Chicom money etc. in the form of craft with their particular loads and reminders. Ex. Sandy, Clark, Richardson, etc. That would be too huge though.
That surprises me. I don't like special rights and protections for any group, much less this one.
Feinstein: We need more money and investment. Better construction may have saved some houses. Local organizaions should use zoning regulations and weather patterns to prevent this in the future.
Hunter: To follow her point, we need to cut back the brush and that brush is there largely due to environmental regulations not allowing the brush to be cut. What happens is that the brush creates ashes and starts blowing around, spreading the fire even worse. We need to cut back the bureaucracy in the environmental lobby.
Hunter takes a veiled shot at New Orleans and praises the community spirit and rapid response, saying that it will “reward” them with whatever they need to fix this.
This isn’t the first time you and I have disagreed. In this case we’ll know for sure sometime next year anyway.
What I was talking about was not that presidents had never served in the House. I meant that presidents have been sitting or ex-governors, or VP’s for the most part. If I remember right, Kennedy was a sitting Senator and I thought Lincoln a sitting Representative. Thanks for the Garfield information, I did not know that.
Eisenhower was an exception as well since he came into office from the military.
Foolishly, house recently passed veto-proof federal shield law with support from “Republicans”. Mike Pence is foolish to support this bill after Plame brohaha & NYT arrogance. Hope senate republicans block this with filibuster.
