I volunteer with kids and there’s a few that will give me a hug. It always makes me a bit uneasy - but I know what they are going through and give them a hug back. (One of those “sideways buddy-type” hugs.) Plus there’s always another adult around so I think its fairly safe to be able to respond with a quick yet supportive and comforting hug. And if not - well tough!
My Gosh I can not believe that your are afraid to give acknowledgment of one person to another-
SCARED is what you are and that is truly sad.
Rush has talked about this, he has said, think back year’s ago and how you felt free to talk to one another about stuff, and then think about today and how you hesitate to say something and think I shouldn’t.
That is what is wrong with our country now.
It's not that you personally object to a kid's hug; rather the threats created by the mind-warped advocates of political correctness. Am I right?
The majority of people who work with kids today don't want to risk a lawsuit or job loss over a hug. As long as people with some common sense keep quiet, the crazies will rule.
