The USMC Marathon is on a Saturday??? When I ran it (some years ago) it was always held on a Sunday; beautiful race, except for the golf course ...

This will be the 30th year in a row that I’ve overslept and missed the start of the race. Doggone separate volume knobs!

The most I ever ran in the Marine Corps was 15 in NCO School in 1979
that was tough enough

15 in NCO School? I think we ran a standard PFT, and that was it. I lift now, and I *still* hate running. :-)

in the 70’s, NCO School in the Corps were PT academys!
We never ran less than 4 and did 2 PFT’s.

You DO know that not all those running are Marines, right?
It’s one of the biggest running events in the country for non-Marine runners.
