Mexicans overrunning California

There are now so many Mexicans living in California that a major political party, the National Action Party, known by the acronym PAN, recently held its convention in Los Angeles. In 2000, the party's successful presidential candidate, Vincente Fox, and his rival both campaigned in California to reach Mexican voters who, since 1996, have with dual citizenship legally voted in Mexican as well as U.S. elections. There are estimates of between 12 and 20 million in the U.S., a growing number with dual citizenship. Many of them exercise an assertive Mexican identity, resist assimilation and dream about reclaiming that part of the U.S. that formerly was Mexico. PAN has formed chapters in 10 states (including Georgia) and the District of Columbia. The Mexican government itself brazenly agitates in favor of legal and social demands of illegal immigrants. An estimate is that immigrant children in K-12 have cost American taxpayers nearly $14 billion since 1996. In addition, various jurisdictions have spent $1.4 billion annually since 2001 to jail illegal aliens. A figure seldom reported is that illegal aliens have taken 9.8 million SKILLED jobs. We can't be serious about curtailing illegal immigration when we print signs in Spanish, allow them access to medical care and other taxpayer funded social services, educate their children and now, in New York state, even prepare to issue them drivers licenses without green cards. California's Title 1 schools for disadvantaged children (read immigrant) are on the free breakfast and free lunch program. Students get a full breakfast and cereal bar with fruit and juices that would make a Marriott proud. Teachers complain that with free medical, free education, free food, daycare and other benefits, it's no wonder that students feel entitled not only to be in this country but to demand rights, privileges, and more entitlements.

So much for Mexifornia. What about Texamexas? Last night on the Glenn Beck program Glenn had a guest, Dan Patrick, who is a Texas state senator. He made the following remarks (from CNN Transcripts): "Texas leads the nation in drunk driving accidents and deaths. We estimate that 30 percent of the people in our local jails are illegal. We know 17 percent in our federal prisons are. It's a huge impact on crime in our communities. If you look at health care, we have a hospital here in Harris County, third largest in the country, by the way, where 81 percent of the babies were born to mothers here illegally. 21 percent of state health care costs go to illegals. It costs 40 percent more to educate a student who shows up at the school door who can't speak English and has no educational background than it does an American-born student. Crime is out of control. In the last decade we've a tremendous increase in carjackings, hijackings, rapes and people coming here who are who are drug runners, pimps, sexual predators, criminals, you name it. In Houston, the big Houston Independent School District there's an $800 million bond issue - and 75 percent of the money is going to Hispanics. Seventy percent of the students in Dallas ISD, HISD, male students, Hispanic and African-American, do not complete high school. Fifty percent of the students across the state do not complete high school. Illegal immigration is impacting Texas in every shape and form. IT'S COMING TO YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD."

Overrunning? They were overrun 10 years ago. California used to be a nice state, now it’s a total dump.

It's no coincidence that CA's huge electoral chunk has gone to the Dem nominee for Prez in the past four Presidential elections. The GOP nominee won CA in the previous six ('68 - '88).
Expect a similar change around the entire nation if amnesty is passed.
