Former Arkansas governor, Mike Huckabee, said he supports a mandatory cap-and-trade system to cut US greenhouse gas emissions, becoming the second Republican presidential candidate to call for a carbon market to address climate change.

You are correct. I should not have added senators to the current mix. I was indeed extrapolating the end result of this end run around the constitution. Huckabee said it just did not seem right that someone could be even partially disenfranchised. Meaning to me that if DC only gets a congressional representative, they will still be partially disenfranchised because they will not have senators. The goal has to be to open up the senate as well. Incrementalism.

I was planning to check out Huckabee to see what kind of candidate he’d make. Oh well.

(From now on, ending a sentence with a preposition is something up with which I will not put.)

Unfortunately I am not the owner of Yahoo! News, nor am I the webmaster. The link to the very brief "Point Carbon" story is still active; the Yahoo! link was active at the time it was posted.
The only "innuendo" here is your implication that I falsified a link. Huck's either an ecotard or an ecotard sympathizer. I wish that wasn't the case, and I wish he had at least a rudimentary understanding of economics and freedom, but I'm not sure that he does. Nice guy though; a friend of mine is even on staff for his campaign.
