To read the MSM headlines (which I try not to) the falling dollar is the end of the world. Maybe Wall Street should get a Noble Prize for their work in "Global Dollar Cooling". But seriously, what are the effects of a weak dollar?
1) Increased exports. Last month's exports were among the highest on record. Trade deficit? What trade deficit? Boeing, Caterpiller, Microsoft, Apple, etc. all with surges in foreign export sales.
2) Outsourcing? What outsourcing? All of the sudden it becomes cheaper to employ an American technician than one from Bangalore.
3) Cost of living? (I love this part!) Since China has pegged the Yuan to the Dollar, everything we get from China costs exactly the same! Maybe this will convince them to unlink the Yuan. Then we'll REALLY see who's the best producer.
4) Buhh... buhh... buhh... but foreigners will stop buying American Treasuries! What? In order to buy Russian ones? Chinese ones? Venezualian ones? Give me a break.
A weak Dollar equals: more exports, more jobs, more tourists (spending money) and the same or higher standard of living.
Bring it on!
I’m just glad I could correct your error. Don’t cry now.
On Drudge right now. California has the highest amount of foreclosures ever.
The report saying new home sales has increased also said it was led by the western states.
Smoke and mirrors.
Just a couple more quotes.
Nice talking to ya and would love to talk more. But duty calls..
“Most Americans have no real understanding of the operation of the international money lenders. The accounts of the Federal Reserve System have never been audited. It operates outside the control of Congress and manipulates the credit of the United States” — Senator Barry Goldwater (Rep. AR)
“From now on, depressions will be scientifically created.” — Congressman Charles A.
Lindbergh Sr. , 1913
I cant tell you since you fail to understand how the fed works.
Even Goldwater wasn’t perfect. Lindbergh was certifiable. LOL!
“I have no patience for intellectual bullies who like to run roughshod over people to assuage their ego.”
I don’t either myself. I’ve tried, don’t know how successful to get Todd to take his edge off a bit. I caught him re-writing my words once and mentioned troll tactic. That settled him down at the time. He doesn’t even believe in everything he says. I’ve seen him contradict himself several times, but never bothered mentioning. Don’t know if he’s actually being paid, but he’s definately pimping a set of principles for some reason. What do you do with a poster like Todd? Seriously? LOL
“Do you think gumballs are cheaper in Asia? Just curious.”
Not to Asian workers.
Doesn’t hurt my gold holdings either!
May you never post anything vague or stupid by accident.
I just did! LOL
“If you want to rub my nose in it, feel free to do so.”
I don’t think he will. No need to, that’s not productive.
You've got to stop so thoroughly schooling so many of these illiterates. Now they're coming here, en masse, armed with nothing more than their feelings (and pink underwear) whining about the scars inflicted upon them during past debates. You'd think they would grab some facts, and a brain, instead of offering nothing more than third-grade insults that only serve to further highlight the fact they got their butts handed to them.
Emotions are easy. Facts are hard. As if we needed additional proof.
We may disagree on certain things, but we agree on many others. When I reread what I had posted last night, even I was mortified :-)
Show me where it says that the Federal Reserve System and Reserve Banks are audited. Underline it and not just some financial statement.
I wonder why there is no clear cut “yes or no”?
Are you defending ToddsterPatriot? Just checking.
Almost worth calling in a Mod artillery strike on your own position. When I read this thread for the first time this morning, I inadvertently resurrected it. Sorry.
It feels like 110 degrees of freedom in here :) Phewwww...it’s hot! lol
You have to admit, when I blow it, I don’t fool around : )
LOL...people scattering like a fire drill :)
My best learning experiences have been my biggest mistakes!
