Why 5% of FR spends so much time focusing on someone polling at 1-2% in Republican primaries is seriously hilarious

Why spend 10.00 on HBO? Why spend 50.00 on tickets for a comedy tour?

Entertainment.

Nope, most of the same people have been doing this since long before Ron Paul was against Iraq. There are about 5% of FR that think libertarians—with 0-2% national vote—are more of a concern than Democrats with 45-55% of the national vote depending on the year. This is a serious waste of time.

“And yes, he must disavow this support, else risk condemnation from other Republicans.”

Why is it a crime for him to accept money from these people but the Dims can accept money from the LaRaza groups and you don’t complain? La Raza has some extremely antisemetic comments on some of their websites.

The people who post against Ron Paul more than anything else are not in it for entertainment.

I don’t recall you asking the MainStreet Republicans to return George Soros’ money.

I haven't, nor do I have a clue who the Main Street Republicans are.

Is one of them running for President?

I presume you're OK with these associations.

I've posted many times about LaRaza, I'm quite familiar with Aztlan.net

It's not a crime, it's stupid.

And since you advocate neonazi support for Paul, you're in no position at all to criticize anyone from taking money from LaRaza.

ejonesie22, it's a conspiracy, this is a Ron Paul thread after all.

Some of Paul's critics were planted here years ago, in anticipation of his "successful" 2007 campaign.

For someone who's irrelevant, you sure do waste a lot of time on him.

How about just letting Paul implode in the primaries then? His situation of possibly being tied with white supremacists is an internal campaign matter. How is it affecting the other Republican candidates knowing that their beliefs and goals are at least 180 degrees from Paul's? Obviously, you're panicking over the prospect of the GOP being tied into this and affecting whichever Republican is nominated.

If Paul is the whack-job that many say he is, then no reasonable conservative or small-l Libertarian is going to support him, he'll implode and the anti-war kooks/white supremacists who supposedly make up a large percentage of his campaign will shrug their shoulders and vote their usual 3rd party then.

It’s not a conspiracy. There are 1-2% of Republicans who actually feel more threatened by a libertarian with 1% national vote and probably only 10% national ID recognition than a Democrats and outright admitted socialists. I don’t understand it, but hey, people like you I guess must exist in a society this large. To me, the single largest issue in the next election is preventing hillary care. The second biggest issue is stopping the upcoming tax increases that could kill the economy. The third is staying the course in Iraq. To people like you, Sjackson, the most important issue is going after someone with 1% of the vote and .01% chance to be elected president. To each their own I guess.

>> With Ron Paul, several freepers on here seriously get to the point where they act like liberals (throw away common sense, name call, act hysterically, etc).

I know just what you mean! But enough about RP’s supporters...

>> These people are more scared of Ron Paul than Hillary or Osama...Anyone who fears libertarians more than Democrats &etc

I’m not sure anyone here /fears/ Ron Paul at all, let alone more than Democrats. I think there are a fair number of us (yes, count me as one) who dislike ElRon intensely — almost as much as we dislike Democrats.

>> IMO has no more belonging on this site yadda yadda

??? What part of “opinion forum” is confusing to you? Frankly I’m getting a little tired of all the posters lately evoking the “Ghost of Bill O’Reilly Hit Piece”, suggesting what “is” and “isn’t” proper to post here! If you’re not an admin mod or Jim Robinson, get off that frequency. Please.

It’s why Duncan is my #1. I know he doesn’t stand a great shot in the general which is why I’ll vote for Thompson, or even hold my nose and vote Guiliani.

Are we somehow related? I feel exactly the same way. I'm usually called a political whore for it but as long as it keeps "she who shall not be named" out of the White House I'll take it.

Sigh. You can waste as much as your time as you like. I generally like Ron Paul's views. I disagree with him 100% on foreign policy. I dislike Bush on a lot of things, including securing our borders and his out of control spending.

With that said, I spend the majority of my time on FR posting about economic issues (as I know Republicans really don't care that much about social issues regardless of lip service) and agree with most FReepers. In my personal life, I never even bring up Ron Paul with friends and co-workers. I spend my time railing against socialism, Democrats, and the liberal media. These are far more important than Ron Paul, libertarian 1-2% like myself, and FR. You and SJackson can think/do as you wish. I prefer better uses of conservative folks time.

Add Ace of Spades to the list of conservative bloggers covering this breaking story:

"I don't completely buy that a candidate isn't responsible for his supporters. If a campaign attracts so many malcontents, racists, anti-semites, paranoids, America-haters, conspiracy-mongers, and political pornographers, well, I assume there's a reason for this grand crossing-the-streams of weirdness."

Funny how most of the Paul threads are posted by the Paul haters.

You guys are just like Redstate. Post the Paul threads but damn if any of the Paul supporters are going to muck up the echo chamber.

I think its interesting that so many on the Right and Left believe that if Israel just went away either by force or voluntary, that all our enemies in the ME would leave us alone. Throw down their suicide vests and stop roaming the globe murdering innocents in marketplaces.

Fascinating how the haters of Israel or Jews just will not let it go, generation after generation after generation. RP capitalizes on this, and uses their parlance for fundraising.

It has to be some kind of pathology, or its biblical, lol.

Funny, I don’t know anyone on the left or right who thinks that if Israel went away that our enemies in the ME would leave us alone. Second, I don’t see this highlighted by Ron Paul on his website, 99% of his bills presented to congress or in any of his speeches.

We're all crazy.

An non-Paul people are crazy.

I know FR isn't thrilled with Paul supporters, FR wasn't thrilled with Giuliani supporters, but can you point to anything I've said on this thread that makes you think I don't think you should be posting here, the Red State reference.

Or any other thread for that matter.

With the link, for context.

Paul may be an idol to some people, but you need to understand most do consider him a legitimate target for criticism.
