No, actually Jesus was a wholly Innocent person who was falsely accused and was sentenced to die as a criminal, but He Himself committed no crime. He was a convicted criminal sentenced to the death penalty. Whether he was fairly convicted or not is a different matter.

Whether he was fairly convicted or not is a different matter.With all deference to you, that is a huge, huge point. In fact, the whole of Christianity pivots on this point, for if He was rightly convicted He was guilty of a crime and thus could not be the Christ.
