Of course they don’t want a state. They want to overrun and destroy Israel.

‘What they want is two Palestinian states, or at best one Palestinian and one binational state. ‘
They’ve made that very clear four times since the late 1960’s. Continuing to provide them money is insane.

The Palestinians, in contrast, rejected a proffered state that fell a mere 3 percent short of their putative demands, just because it (a) involved acknowledging a Jewish connection to the Temple Mount and (b) required the refugees to resettle in Palestine rather than Israel.
So in other words, not even the Palestinians want to live with the Palestinians. And who can blame them?

The only way to truly achieve a two-state solution is for Israel, and the world, to insist that there will be no progress - no talks, and no Israeli concessions - until Palestinians are prepared to accept the Jewish state's existence.OUTSTANDING article! ;)

How many times have we heard, and seen?
Death to Israel, Death to America!
What part of those oft repeated statements give us hope, to keep negotiating?

I blame the Pali leadership. They work hard to avoid any peaceful solution. Ordinary Palis might be more reasonable but we'll never hear what they are willing to settle for.
Neither Pali leadership faction can be trusted. Neither truly has the interest of ordinary Pali citizens as their objective. The ordinary Palis are just a bargaining chip. More death and continued suffering are a deliberate objective of the Pali leadership.
In any event, Israel needs to take care of its own internal problems and on its own terms. We should stop meddling in their internal matters. We are a big part of the problem in Israel now.

The Israelis pretend that what the Palestinians *want* matters. That is, at any instant, Israel could declare Gaza to be a Palestinian state *right now*. And once their West Bank settlements have either been evacuated or integrated into Israel behind the wall, Israel can unilaterally declare the West Bank to be a “Palestinian state” as well.
Then Israel could completely cut off both of them, and say when they actually have a government that controls all of their state, then Israel will negotiate with them. If they do not control their own land, they are not a de facto government. So, to the Palestinians, have a government or live in chaos. But leave us alone.
Since the Paleos have made themselves into a people of chaos, they will probably remain chaotic.
The most important thing of all is for Israel to cut them off. No Paleo should ever be allowed into Israel. The Israelis must accept that Palestinian problems are for the Palestinians to solve. If they cannot or will not do so, then it is not the Israeli’s business to help.
If individual Israelis want to help the Paleos, then they should have to leave Israel, travel to a third country, then visit the Paleos to help them. Otherwise, nobody crosses the borders.
