As Campaigns Chafe at Limits, Donors Might Be in Diapers
WashingtonPost ^ | October 24, 2007 | Matthew Mosk

Elrick Williams's toddler niece Carlyn may be one of the youngest contributors to this year's presidential campaign. The 2-year-old gave $2,300 to Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.). So did her sister and brother, Imara, 13, and Ishmael, 9, and her cousins Chan and Alexis, both 13. Altogether, according to newly released campaign finance reports, the extended family of Williams, a wealthy Chicago financier, handed over nearly a dozen checks in March for the maximum allowed under federal law to Obama. Such campaign donations from young children would almost certainly run afoul of campaign finance regulations, several campaign lawyers said. But as bundlers seek to raise higher and higher sums for presidential contenders this year, the number who are turning to checks from underage givers appears to be on the rise.

Maybe it is almost time to reform the McCain-Feingold campaign “reform” act.

Replace it with something that is both Constitutional and reflects the viewpoints of the interested. Like, no foreign donors. Like, no limits on what any one donor may give to any one candidate, but with FULL DIXCLOSURE. Like, no hiding behind “advocacy” ads, the negative nature of which has reached fever pitch.

Diapers?
We don't need no stinking diapers!
Not when we've got a billion Chinese!
Oh, and all those dead voters...

HA!!
Yea but the real fun will be watching what ISN'T done about this or any of the tens of thousands of illegal campaign contributions just like it.

Y'know it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize these workarounds were hammered-out long *before* CFR ever passed

Thanks for nothing.

...McCain.

Will Obama give the money back? Hmmmm...

Democrats have the GALL to accuse Republicans of having a culture of corruption.

I was hoping somebody would ask.

It is the zipper on one's fly.

"Will Obama give the money back? Hmmmm..."

WTH should he, piano legs, Barney My Boy Lollipop or any of the other Liberal-Socialist scumbags? ONLY time pols give anything back two conditions *must* be met.
1) They're right-wing pols.
AND
The Liberal-Socialist quisling mediots spin 'em as crooked and greedy or worse.

"Democrats have the GALL to accuse Republicans of having a culture of corruption."

Well their gall's some wampum powerful stuff, y'know.
It's a hybrid of what used to be called organized crime *&* modern day Socialism & nothing to be scoffed at; or, if one does they do so at their own risk.

If you've noticed gone are the days of *cement galoshes*, my friend. {g}
Now days a *hit* takes a totally different --albeit arguably just as violent to the poor hittee-- form.
Today's the age of the smear, perpetrated by the only entity with its very own iron clad constitutional amendment.
So when a hit-smear's begun it cannot be stopped, altered, argued, impeded, debated or adjudicated by any force I know of, not as-of-yet anyway.

One thing's for certain about a Liberal-Socialist hit-smear.

...few survive the aftermath. ;^)

I’m thinking... EL RUSHBO.

Truly brilliant play on his part. Truly. Made them look like fools. :-D

>...few survive the aftermath.
"I’m thinking... EL RUSHBO."

Uh-huh, me too. ;^)
However Rush is only the most recent, and we who watch these matters know they tried the same shtick already with the MJFox debacle.
Which BTW for all practical purpose & intent, worked.

"Truly brilliant play on his part. Truly."

Agreed.
Rush did the one thing that shut 'em up right there & then. But I ask in all honesty did it [really] shut 'em up? Or did what happened do little more than send 'em back to the proverbial drawing board to tweak their smear for the next time?
I mean have you read, saw or heard any of the Liberal-Socialist quisling mediots *or* outlets report one scintilla of the Limbuagh ruse?
Nope, and therein they revealed their next step(s) for us peons.

"Made them look like fools."

Well we can agree the Liberal-Socialists made themselves look like fools; and, since the Liberal-Socialist quisling mediots weren't going to illustrate the folly, honestly, Rush did.

But the republic's Liberal-Socialists & their media armS aren't finished, beaten. Not by a country mile.
Just as I suspect the reason behind every single *poll* we've had to persevere over the past *decade* isn't to inform the public. Nope, not nearly as much as it is to show our Liberal-Socialists where work needs to be done. :o)

Means --to us-- all the days, weeks & months leading up to next years elections all we'll be treated to is "The Smear" again & again until finally all we'll get is one continuous, gigantic smear.

Some might say what we're discussing isn't related to the topic at hand, they couldn't be more wrong.
Our beloved republic's become little more than a laboratory demonstrating what will & won't stick.
The recent turn-of-events in two European nations, Switzerland & France, is where this information will be used, ad nauseum.

Liberal-Socilaist-Communists over there are watching us very closely, what's happening here stateside. Being taught & carefully learning what works and what doesn't because if the Liberal-Socialsts can get away with The Smear here, what-with all our checks & balances? It'll easily work in any new conservative government over there.
Just watch 'n see.

IF Liberal-Socialist-Communists around the world want to actualize their one world government in this lifetime, they know they must start at square #1.

...*consolidation*. ;^)
