Forget race, just for a minute. Let's say boys and girls always sat under the tree. A girl then asks, during assembly, if girls could sit under the tree.
Wouldn't the reaction be, "WTF is she talking about?" I mean, her question is just absurd. It makes no sense. Why in the world would she ask if girls could sit under a tree where boy and girls have always sat?
Similarly, why in the world would a black student ask if black students could sit under a tree where black and white students have always sat?

The author expects us to believe that this was just a coincidence that they hung nooses in that particular tree, for the first and only time, the day after black students sat under that very same tree.
One time. That tree. The next day. Pure coincidence. And it wasn't aimed at blacks. And none of the boys had a clue that nooses were racist. In Louisiana.

Your clue is right in front of you in your own words. "Nooses are racist." Who told you this and why did they tell you this? How can you be so sure that everyone "knows" that "nooses are racist"?

I tend to agree. I think it's probably a few trouble-makers (racist or not) that fueled this episode, and the ever-opportunistic leftist media pounced on the incident and blew it all out of proportion. Which is pretty much what the leftist media does with every issue that makes whites, and especially white Republicans, look bad.
