Eerie sight.
Prayers for all.
That sent a chill down my spine!
Wow! That view is probably from NAB Coronado looking east. The one large ship on the right with the lit #1 is the USS Tarawa (LHA 1)
Matt - take a look at the smoke over your former AO
Probably so. I was on USS Peoria LST-1183. Pier 13.
Doesn’t it make you feel old when all of your ships have been decomissioned?
Fox & Friends AGAIN comparing Qualcomm to Katrina/Superdome.
For pete’s sake. Surround Qualcomm with 10 feet of water stretching 15 miles...THEN see how swell the reaction is.
Ah, we have too much housing inventory along the coast anyway. The problem is, it is always those folks in Malibu that get the new houses.

It is because we have better manners in California Damn it!!
Just Fox News’ inherent racial bigotry. “See? When the white people are in charge, everything goes hunky-dory.” /sarc

Don’t you know it. U.S.S. Saratoga 1977-81
We experienced that smoke in 2003, during the last big series of fires. It was bad enough that schools were closed even at the beaches for a few days.
Today it’s raining in north FL. I wish I could send it to San Diego.
