I will take your word for it. Not being a Catholic, I don't know how the church investigates these things.
I wasn't aware that a report from a grand jury was proof of guilt in our legal system. Can you please site the law that states that it is? (Of course you can't, because it is not true.)
By the way, I asked about the evidence the church used to fire the guy, not what the grand jury report is quoted as saying. If the evidence the church used has been made public, where might I find that information?
Geez, you'd think conservatives would be all on board the 'innocent until proven guilty' idea. Guess not for some. . .at least not when it is someone they hate.
Whatever. Your entire post just demonstrated that you will give Rooty Toot a pass that you wouldn’t give Clinton. From January until the late summer of 1998, the public had LESS concrete proof than this.
And in case you weren’t aware, the Catholic Church doesn’t even need a reason to remove someone and they almost release it publicly.
Didn’t Placa arrange for Rudy’s fake “annullment” on a technicality?
Maybe this hiring is like “hush money” - which is something the Clintons sure know about! Rudy was a tough federal prosecutor - he should care about kids!
He went after high profile cases that were slam dunks.
True.
You can’t get a “fake annulment” in the Catholic Church and priests “can’t make arrangements” to get you one.
No Giuliani, NO PROBLEM.
Works for me!
Then you shouldn't have any problem showing me the evidence against this guy. Until you do, you are still comparing apples and oranges.
By the way, whether or not this guy is guilty has no bearing on whether Rudy is a good candidate or not, so I don't know why you keep trying to imply this is some defense of Rudy. I've already made plain that I don't like Rudy, and I certainly won't be voting for him.
And in case you werent aware, the Catholic Church doesnt even need a reason to remove someone and they almost release it publicly.
I never said they did. That has no bearing on whether the individual in question is guilty or not. Evidence does that, and again, I've not seen any of the evidence that was considered. If it's been made public, you shouldn't have any problem producing it.
The conviction rate for federal indictments is nearly 100%, that is why all most all of them plead out. As US Attorney for Southern New York, Rooty’s job was mainly administrative. He just took the high-profile plea bargains like Boesky and Milken as his own, other attorneys were doing all of the work.
It’s not public, that’s the thing. However, it doesn’t matter, he still has no business being so closely associated with a presidential candidate.
John WHO? McCain? He is as big a RINO as Giuliani and Romney.
” unless the victims do not mind having their names included.”
At least one victim has come out publicly - I saw him on GMA this morning.I don’t know about the others.
“But what scares me about all the many revelations regarding Rudy is the fact that Bill Clinton had worse skeletons in his closet before the election of 92 and yet he was voted in office in spite of them.”
That is true, but that is always going to be true regarding the “profession” of journalism.
People seem more willing to overlook personal sexual infidelity as opposed to coddling child molesters.
Interesting. I guess I could search the web to try to find a transcript of what he said.
Well, then you can't compare him to Clinton, where the evidence was very public.
However, it doesnt matter, he still has no business being so closely associated with a presidential candidate.
That could be. I merely said this guy is innocent until proven guilty, and you jumped all over me.
BS! Throughout the winter, spring and summer of 1998, we all "knew" what the truth was, but the real evidence didn't come forward until the reports of BJ's and Monica's grand jury testimony came out.
Placa conveniently forgot to file the paper stating that the two knew they were related. How convenient - and I have read that Regina was incensed by the whole thing.
