A Miami Central High math teacher was arrested after attacking the Homestead Air Reserve Base in a failed suicide bid, authorities say.

Wielding two butcher knives bought at Wal-Mart and vodka bottles to use as explosives, Tahmeed Ahmad chanted ''Death to America'' and told Homestead Air Reserve Base guards he wanted to kill soldiers.

In half-hearted defenese of the school system, claiming a mental illness ties the school board's hands under ADA. They will probably be forced to keep that mutt on the payroll even after he starts serving time and / or is committed. Heaven help us when some idiot shrink declares he is cured and free to go.

This man is a maniac and I am willing to bet he will be defended by the liberal left. On the other hand, a religious teacher (saw him on Bill OReilly last night) who brought in a Coptic Christian to explain to his class the religion of Christ was summarily relieved of his position and dismissed and was transfered to a lesser high school and demoted because the Christian Coptic explained the dangers of Islam; which this man is guilty of doing. Islam is dangerous but the liberal left is using it for political power and is not concerned about the consequences.

my 3rd grade son was suspended for 3 days (c. 1995) because he had a kitchen knife (that probably couldn’t even cut butter) fall out of his pocket.

BUT a 22 year old college gradute, new to the Miami area, just happens to pick a US military installation, shouts death to America as he goes after the MP’s, is on a suicide mission. This after he is already refused the sale of a gun.

Who in God’s name are the ‘authorities’ who believe this is merely a death wish/failed suicide? Granted, he doesn’t seem to be part of an organized islamicist group.

My question, Why did they put the adress of the school in the sentence. Possible answer, so all the liberals and their islamic terrorist friends can call and complain to the school how the man should be protected on his first ammendment rights. Now, if this had been a Christian, do you think the liberal press would have put the address of the school here and would not the whole liberal press country wide be screaming from the rooftops and demanding execution for the wasp?

Nowhere does it say that the nutjob was in knife range, nor does it say he was standing still. It is plenty easy to miss a moving target - ask anyone who has ever used a gun.
