Massachusetts Abortion Death Case Slowly Progressing
Operation Rescue ^ | October 21st, 2007 | n/a

Hyannis, MA – The abortion death of Laura Hope Smith has finally been reported Sunday — five weeks late — in a secular newspaper, The Cape Cod Times. The story of this tragic abortion death was also reported last week in the National Catholic Register.

Laura’s mother, Eileen Smith, has been working tirelessly to see to it that her daughter’s death is not “swept under the rug,” and that those responsible for it are brought to justice.

Smith’s attorney filed a Complaint for Discovery on October 4, for information from the Medical Examiner’s office, the hospital, the abortion clinic, and abortionist Rapin Osathanondh, who committed Laura’s abortion on September 13, in the 13th week of her pregnancy.

Next week, Smith is expected to file for administrative control over Laura’s estate so she can have access to her daughter’s medical records.

Because of pressure brought by Operation Rescue, District Attorney Michael D. O’Keefe met with Mrs. Smith on Oct. 11, about the possibility of criminal charges against Osathanondh. However, she was informed that no case against the abortionist can go forward without Laura’s autopsy report, which is due to be released within the next several days.

Smith also told Operation Rescue that she filed her own complaint with the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine last week asking for an investigation and discipline of Osathanondh for his part in her daughter’s death. A private citizen filed a previous complaint with the Board just days after the fatal abortion.

Earlier this month, Mrs. Smith granted an interview to a major film company and flew to New York to tape the segment about Laura’s tragedy. No release date for the interview has been set.

Mother Demands Justice against Abortionist for Letting Daughter Die As He Was Killing Her Child

"A complaint has been filed against Osathanondh with the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine regarding the abortion death. In 2001 Osathanondh made headlines for threatening in a fit of rage to murder five nurses for misplacing his paperwork."

If you live in MA you would be hard pressed to hear about this. The Cape Cod Times and the Anchor(Fall River Catholic Paper) are about the only news sources covering this. Not on TV not in The Herald nor the Globe.

A woman went to a clinic and died(was murdered?) along with her baby. If you live in Ma please read it. It could be your daughter or any other close female relative or friend who walks into one of these places and does not come out.

I have tried to pull some of the stories together and I understand the woman had a web page i am looking to post it.

The end of the Cape Cod Times author just has to put forth “oh there aren’t that many deaths”

“Abortion-related death is rare in the United States, according to government statistics.”

I wonder how much booze the author had to drink to type tht sentence.

“Abortions in Massachusetts

Number of abortions:

2004: 24,366

2005: 23,268

Number of deaths: No reports of deaths associated with legal abortions for the past several years.

Source: Massachusetts Department

of Public Health”

Several could mean just three.

“We await Laura’s autopsy report with great anticipation, and pray that the Medical Examiner has the integrity to release the unvarnished truth about Laura’s death, instead of a whitewashed report designed to protect the abortion industry, as we have seen done in other places,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “A young woman lies dead from an obviously botched abortion, yet the man responsible, Rapin Osathanondh, continues to ply his grisly trade in Hyannis. It is imperative that he be brought speedily to justice, before anyone else is injured or killed.”

Had the abortion been successful ... you wouldn’t have heard a peep from anyone!

YOU take your chances when you go to an abortionist.

If they can murder, LITTLE HUMAN BEINGS, do you really BELIEVE they care about BIGGER HUMAN BEINGS?

Get REAL!

I think abortion reults in death probably 99.9% of the time and the 0.1% that survive are usually severely injured.

Seems to me, that would make 47,634 deaths associated with “legal” abortions for those two years. Somebody check my math please. I don’t think it’s zero. No, I’m right. It’s 47,634 deaths by state-sanctioned murder. Or would it be classified as execution, for the crime of “not being conceived by the persons requesting the execution at a time convenient to them” ?

Either way, they were alive before, they were human, not vegetable, mineral, or other animal, and they were dead after, due to the deliberate, premeditated actions of adults under our jurisdiction.

47,634 of them.

Fenway Park hold about 35,000.

Three thousand were slaughtered on 9/11.

Thirty-five hundred have made the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq.

47,634 human beings, just as real, just as valid, just as human as you and I, with just as much potential to offer the world, not simply deleted like characters on a computer screen with the press of a button, but murdered and flushed down the drain.

In two years only.

In Massachusetts only.

Pardon me while I get sick.

47,634.
