"It's Bush's Fault!" is a favorite punchline of ours but that doesn't mean the left have stopped believing it.

Tyler Kokjohn (ouch) has outdone himself this time; now Bush is at fault for something that hasn't even happened yet!

You might think any president has much more to worry about than snowmobiles but not according to the left who are always ready to blame GWB for a rainy day.

My wife and I toured some of the park on snowmobiles several years ago. Aside from the washboard effect of the snow on the roads and it beating us half to death in our 150 mile or so ride, it was a great time. It’s a great way to see the park and a wonderful time to be there. The day we went I’d bet there weren’t 50 people total in the whole park.

In rural Alaska, (which has become one big park), restricting snowmachines on fed land would be like banning cars & trucks throughout 80% of the lower 48; kinda unenforceable. People only obey laws when they are sensible & fair.

Yep, and sometimes not even then. They keep you on the roads in Yellowstone. The snow was so deep off the road you'd just get stuck trying if you ventured too go off road anyway. The elk and bison we saw didn't seem to mind the snowmobiles at all and you had to really watch the ravens because they'll steal your lunch if you don't keep it locked up. They keep the speed pretty well controlled, too. Ranger Rick rides around with his radar gun on his snowmobile. We saw a few getting tickets the day we were there. Trouble is, with the washboard roads, you need to run about 60-65 mph to keep it from beating you to death. The speed limit is 45 mph and that insures a sound beating. I was so sore the next day I could barely move, and I'm fairly athletic for 45....

Wow, you wouldn’t believe the freedom we up here and take for granted; no fences and park service people really pamper us all; like they work for us, imagine that???

We go where we please, wide open, ect. I’ve never heard of anyone ever being even checked on snowmachine.

People around here park their trks and ride snowmachine when it gets below minus 10.

Around here, people run wolves down when they catch them on smooth lakes, fresh snow; a patriotic duty if you may. Couldn’t iamgine all the rules; I better stay right here.
