At any time did Frank Luntz’s wig fall off or start to shift?

We taped about 70 mins worth of discussion. More clips will be aired at 6:20 AM on Fox and Friends First and then 8:20 AM on Fox and Friends.

I watched the 6:20 segment on F&F this morning, and this is what I got out of Luntz.

1. He definitely pushed Giuliani.

2. Those in the race are Giuliani, McCain, and an unseen but mentioned, Mitt Romney & Fred Thompson. (We did learn that Thompson is against tort reform.) Huckabee is nicer than the rest, and gets "nice guy" points.

Nothing about any other candidate.

We got focus group lines going up when they attacked each other. I can't recall any of the 3 or 4 focus group quotes except one guy saying he didn't think that they attacked each other that badly.

All in all, I thought the 6:20 report was lousy, and that Giuliani led the report, Giuliani got pushed, and Giuliani continues to be promoted as the pubbie candidate by every news agency out there.

Thanks for the report. I saw parts of the debate and was impressed with the quality of the guys we have running. I would feel comfortable with any of them as president (except Paul).

I even agree with much of what he says but he seems to not know that we were attacked on 9/11 by a bunch of radical Islamists who want to either convert us or kill us.

I didn’t watch Fox & Friends this morning, so I can’t comment on how Luntz presented his data this morning, but my impression last night was that he was pushing Guiliani as THE candidate that can beat Hillary. I did not hear him say one single word about Fred Thompson.

Did you get a sense that they were trying to minimalize Thompson? My sense after watching the pre-debate, the debate & the post-debate - is that the fix is already in & the big money is behind Rudy. FOX doesn’t like having Fred in the race. How did Luntz treat Thompson?

“Hunter is a very good man. He’s well grounded to the point of being scarey. He believes as I do on right to life, illegal immigration, fair trade, defense, China.. this guy is amazing. Look folks, these men are not just voicing good policy on their own behalf, they are voicing good policy so the other candidates will have to tow the line. Duncan Hunter is a man who should not only be in the next debate, but he should be given equal time with Rudy, Fred, Romney and McCain. There was a selective effort to limit Hunter’s participation last evening. That was wrong. The guy only got 1% of the vote, but hell he was only asked a limited number of questions 4 or 5, and brought in to participate a couple of other times. This telegraphed that he was non-viable and effectively froze him out of support. At least that’s the way I see it. Folks, I have made decision not to vote for anyone except a true conservative this year.” Nobody else is getting a dime from me. The party has lost its soul and its ability to connect the dots. I watched the debate and I remember your SOCIALISM comment toward the hildebeast...and I thought...at least ONE person in that room understands what the risk is.

I thought the 2 or 3 upfront people, on the right, were all Rudy fans and quite decided on him.
