Like a broken clock, Ron Paul can be right occasionally, but he’s still a kook.

Folks, I have made decision not to vote for anyone except a true conservative this year. I know that will rub some of you the wrong way. That being the case, I wrote down the reasons why.

I read what you wrote at the link.

I agree. I had presumed that the Republicans who gave the Clinton a pass in the Senate had done so because they were compromised by information in the FBI files Hillary stole.

Maybe not.

Either way, I agree that putting a Socialist one-worlder in office from the Republican side is about like shooting yourself in the right foot instead of the left. Either way, it's going to hurt.

I am done voting for soft "conservatives" because they are "the lesser of two evils".

The lesser evil is still evil.

Better to let the heat come up fast and get the frogs jumping out of the pot than let the temperature be ramped up slowly, one more notch.

Great report. We were looking for you on the thread last night but no one knew which one you were. Or decided not to tell unless you approved.

Ya know! Neither George Bush or Mike Huckabee have given amnesty as did President Reagan.

Way cool--I'll have to look for you on the debate coverage tonight.

I do recall hearing Alan Colmes say last night before the debate that he didn't agree that "Ron Paul was insane"--now I know what he was referring to. So Alan Colmes disagrees with you--now you KNOW you were spot on, LOL!

If someone else shows up you are being replaced and out of here...this room is for undecided."

That is a joke. The majority of the Republicans have already decided. The Ron Paul fan is probably the most honest, at least he admitted favoritism.

"Not if Giuliani is the GOP candidate. He and Clinton are both socialists."

That just shows you how far left the Republican party has swung.
So Hunter and Tancredo should disappear?

I think JulieAnnie and Huckleberry, and McLame should disappear.

I did love McCain's Woodstock retort though!

My wife and I almost rolled off the couch laughing.

Whether we can stand it or not Republicans will do everything in their power to elect anyone else but Clinton.

In 2000, it was anyone-but-Gore and we got Bush2.

In 2004, it was anyone-but-Kerry and we got Bush2 the Globalist with a middle finger to the conservatives [Dubai ports, Miers, amnesty round 1 (2006), amnesty round 2 (2007), amnesty round 3 (2007) and still trying to get it attached to other legislation].

The RNC is hoping for a rousing anyone-but-Clinton in 2008. But 2006 told them the GOP was in serious trouble with its policies. The GOP/RNC still maintain those same policies. Their anyone-but-Clinton may not work this time -- because they are still pushing such policies as open borders and amnesty for illegals. They lost the conservatives. They seem to be heading for a brokered convention. Who emerges (a globalist more of the same or a real conservative) will determine whether they can garder enough support to stop the Hillary machine.

Excellent points! Conservatives are tired of the GOP expecting conservatives to sacrifice their principles and support increasingly socialist ideals. The irony is the GOP never expects socialists to sacrifice their principles for conservative ideals.

We taped about 70 mins worth of discussion. More clips will be aired at 6:20 AM on Fox and Friends First and then 8:20 AM on Fox and Friends.

I watched the 6:20 segment on F&F this morning, and this is what I got out of Luntz.

1. He definitely pushed Giuliani.

2. Those in the race are Giuliani, McCain, and an unseen but mentioned, Mitt Romney & Fred Thompson. (We did learn that Thompson is against tort reform.) Huckabee is nicer than the rest, and gets "nice guy" points.

Nothing about any other candidate.

We got focus group lines going up when they attacked each other. I can't recall any of the 3 or 4 focus group quotes except one guy saying he didn't think that they attacked each other that badly.

All in all, I thought the 6:20 report was lousy, and that Giuliani led the report, Giuliani got pushed, and Giuliani continues to be promoted as the pubbie candidate by every news agency out there.

McCain’s problem is that he keeps blaming Washington and says the people no longer trust the elected.

Yet, McCain is one of the major culprits many don’t trust, as he has represented Washington for 20-some years.

Now he claims ‘I saw the light’ and claims to be THE conservative.

But, he still supports his CFR, which is an assault on the First Amendment. He still supports open borders and amnesty for illegals, even though he retorts the ‘secure the border’ line -— now.
