Private gun ownership is a bulwark against tyranny, and most tyranny is murderous tyranny.

Preservation of gun rights is a powerful, pro-life issue and should, I humbly submit, be on your list.

Of course, Rudy fails on that one too.

Well, how does Hillary stack-up on these issues? Given the choice between Hillary and Guiliani, please make a recommendation as to which one I might vote for.

A disqualifying issue is one which is of such gravity and importance that it allows for no political maneuvering. It is an issue that strikes at the heart of the human person and is non-negotiable. A disqualifying issue is one of such enormity that by itself renders a candidate for office unacceptable regardless of his position on other matters.

No. The Constitution is clear on what disqualifies a candidate. Trying to pretend it means something else only shows ignorance of the Constitution.

But 911 changed everything. Now Rootie thinks the 2nd Amendment has some validity. He may decide that 911 changed his mind on the other issues as well. No harm in nominating him to find out /Sarcasm.

FIVE such disqualifying issues are: ...

I think the pro-life folks are falling down on their job of convincing enough of the population to oppose abortion. Otherwise Bush would gladly have helped promote a constitutional amendment against it. Without massive popular opinion against it though, no president can do much about it.

What I’ll never forget is friends I know said that Guiliani lived in a house with two homosexual lovers while he was waiting for his divorce to go through. It makes me question his true values if he is literally willing to not only condone that unhealthy lifestyle but live in a homosexual household day and night. If you are a decent person and let’s say you move in with two crack addicts or two thieves. Your own integrity should immediately create conflict with those who are immoral. Yet Guiliani apparently embraces these people and their lifestyle. That’s one reason I don’t trust Guiliani at all.

Conclusion:

Only those with absolutely no chance of winning the election are qualified to run for the Republican Party.

Brilliant strategy, that.

I think candidates should be KEPT from running as a republican when they have a record showing they fail on those issues. And if they fail while in office, the R yanked when they run again.
