I hate to admit this but I have noticed that unless it is at a sporting event, much of the people living on the east coast do not sing during the National Athem.

But I know what you mean. Same with the pledge. Kids at school just get up and put their hand over their heart but they don't say anything. Although I'll cut them some slack because it's 7:30 in the morning and I know I'd rather be sleeping than sitting at a desk about to begin another day at the gulag.
