Turns out that not wearing a flag lapel pin isn't the only way Barack Obama chooses to show that he's a different kind of Democrat.
Have a look at the photo from the October 1, 2007 edition of "Time." It shows Obama, Hillary and Bill Richardson at the Steak Fry of Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) on September 17 in Indianola, IA, apparently reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. Richardson and Clinton have their hands on their heart. But not Obama. Does he perhaps believe that, like wearing the flag pin, the hand on the heart isn't "true patriotism"?
"Time" ran the photo without comment. I haven't seen coverage of this anywhere else in the MSM. Perhaps some enterprising reporter can ask the Illinois senator about his decision to spurn this American tradition.
Meanwhile, does Obama have some third act or omission planned to demonstrate that he's not falling for those corny, old-fashioned displays of patriotism?

I don’t think it is photoshopped. I just think there isn’t a hay bale in that location between the flag and Obama. The red bit on the right side of the flag is just the corner that didn’t get fastened. The flag is clearly supported by a wooden frame.
Why are there two black bars in the blue area where the hay bales should be?
That’s a different photo than the one in the newspaper. Taken either right before or right after the other one though.
I agree the flag is supported by a wooden frame but is that flag there? When you blow it up the blues don’t really match around the flag and at the bottom some of the hay is red. They may all be facing a flag but that flag looks like it was put there in photoshop. Also notice the red hay around the band on the right hand side of the flag. That band would be about where the last row of red would finish.
I think it is part of the flag stand or the structure that the hay bales are sitting on.
Heck. There are red patches in the hay bails on the left hand side too.
I see bits of red in different areas of the hay, but it could be completely unrelated to the flag. I don’t see the different blues you are talking about. Are you referring to the sky? Do you have a blown up image you can post?
Give me a minute to upload.
I guess I have to ask why someone would go to all the trouble to fake this picture. It was clearly at some event where there were a lot of people who would know that there wasn’t actually a huge flag pinned up behind the hay bales. Why would the photoshopper go to the trouble of creating a wooden frame behind the flag yet fail to strip out stray red blotches from the bottom stripe? Why take out the bottom stripe anyway? Plus I think there are explanations for the so-called discrepancies. I don’t trust the media either, but I don’t see the conspiracy here.
Why do they do this half of the time?
And B Barak Hussein certainly isn’t a Jehovah’s Witness.... and he ain’t a quaker.....

In all honesty, yes. It speaks volumes about Obama.
Because they are frauds. But not every photo in the media is a fake. And I don’t see the reason to fake this one, or the evidence that it is fake to begin with. There are plenty of real photos available that show the candidates in front of flags if they really needed one.
LOL! Good one!
Look at the original photo in the article (the small one). It is a different photo than the one posted from the Time site. It is taken from a slightly different angle (or Obama had moved) and Richardson and Shrillary and the other woman are looking in different directions than the Time site photo. That one has the flag also. Did this photoshopper photoshop a whole series of pictures and choose the best one? Seems like a stretch to me.
Obama = big bag of nothing.
Upon further review the original photo was taken from an angle slightly to the left of the Time site photo. Look at the position of the flowers (in front of Richardson’s left foot in the Time site photo and in front of Hillary’s feet in the original one).
Closer look 1. This shows pretty well that there is sky where hay bails should probably be taking up space.
This shows a closer look at the blue spot and the un-erased areas of red. A much closer look can be seen here.
Much larger image here showing red hay.
Flag in the hay bands.
