To me, this seemed very long on wind and very short of substantive information.
For a small town paper, this was a rather excellent article.
I doubt the kind of specific and detailed information you and I and others really want will come out until the courts martial start up, if they do.
1) Never mix the storage of weapon systems with and without the nuclear package. They should be in separate bunkers.
2) Clear records of what is stored where must be maintained, and pass regular inspections.
3) Weapons moves are ordered by serial number, and the current status of each is well documented.
4) “MOSR’s” are coordinate with other Base agencies (Safety), who check the records prior to the move.
5) The ‘load crew’ is different from the ‘move crew’ and the ‘load crew’ is responsible for checking the records again.
6) The flight crew has final responsiblity!
7) The Base and/or Wing Commander is responsible for ensuring all these procedures are in place and well rehearsed, trained, inspected, evaluated, and documented.
