I’m an Alabamian against the new constitutional convention simply because I don’t trust the bunch in Montgomery to write a good one. Also, Alabama has a state version the national 2nd Amendment and I wouldn’t put it past that bunch to remove it from the new constitution.

That’s the big argument against calling for a convention. Better a massive document with the rights and guarantees spelled out than a short one where they’re tossed out.
