We have received salutes before, and an occasional Semper Fi, but this week seemed to be different. Two of the local Legionnaires at the FReep are Marines.
BELOW: Legionnaires from the local Post, L-R, Cindy_True_Supporter, Army - Vietnam, [Mrs] T, Army, early 70s, Halsey, USMC - Korea, and Glenn, USMC - Iwo Jima. Glenn lost his wife the day before due to a long illness but still came out to Olney to be among FRiends.
And today we received 3 loud "Semper FIs". BELOW LEFT: We currently fly the Marine Corps flag and are working on getting the flags of the other branches. For those who don't recognize the person wearing the Marine cap and wind breaker, it's me. BELOW RIGHT: We do have a banner that has all service branches' emblems. But flags add so much extra. Pic is from Week 71, May 05,2007.
BELOW LEFT: "Two Signer" Cindy_True_Supporter, Legionnaire Halsey and me in back ground. BELOW RIGHT: PrezUSA222.
BELOW LEFT: Lurker George. BELOW RIGHT: [Mrs] T was holding a sign this week and only got one good pic of a waving supporter.
BELOW: Token Moonbat picture. The "no allegiance to any Country" Quackers had flags on their banner today. I guess they don't like being ribbed about not being patriotic so they ceded their belief to us. What till this week when "Little Bull Horn" makes its appearance again. Don't we love spineless libs who change their beliefs as the wind blows. And to those who have attended the Olney FReeps, the FR banned "Tim the Trollman" is back (Red jacket holding left banner). He stayed on his corner this week. I guess he didn't want to break his arm crossing the street. And, notice that the surge of leftists after the DU article about us FReepers harassing the poor, old, peaceful "Quackers" is over. Foe several weeks after the DU article, the leftists had over a dozen in attendance. They soon gave up on their principles, even with "Little Bull Horn" blaring barbs across the intersection.
REMEMBER
Next Saturday, same place, Georgia Avenue, MD Rte. 97 and MD Rte. 108 in Olney
NEW TIME - 10:15 AM to 11:45 AM
As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.
But a lot of verbal engagement in Olney is always welcome.
If you live in northern VA and want a short cut to Olney See Post 39 Here. It's an easy 20 minute drive from the American Legion Bridge.
A special Thanks to a FReeper FRiend for enhancing the original plain type directions.
The Archive of Olney FReeps is here or in the LINKS section of Trooprally's ABOUT Page.
WEATHER UPDATES HERE.

I especially like the “Pumpkin Patch” sign over the Quackers. Fitting. Thanks to all the patriots.
Hope to see you and yours this weekend.

What a great report. I should of done something with the Great Pumkin !!
[Mrs T]
Maybe a contest between these two with the winner getting a FRee year’s subscription to FR.

And the local American Legion is starting to show a lot of support. In the Summer, 2006, at their National Conference, the American Legion passed a resolution allowing and encouraging Legionnaires to attend Support the Troop Rallies and to wear their Legion caps.
[Mr] T
This week, I am moving my stuff, so my Saturday is shot. TOnight, I planned on bringing undocumented hotdogs to WR, but the rain forecast is limitting my travel itinerary.
See you all next week, Lord Willing.
Most Excellent!! And prompt too. Thanks.
JUDGES Comments:
Crisp, Clear, To the Point, Funny, lettering parallel to the banner’s edges and within the lines,
AWARD: I think I’ll have to post it next week since some FReepers may not be back to the thread to see it.
