Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (http://www.wnd.com/redir/r.asp?http://www.mikehuckabee.com//), a candidate for the GOP nomination for president, is warning that the war on terror will not end in a draw.
"There's no peaceful co-existence, there's no accommodation, there's no naïve nonsense that if we leave them alone they leave us alone. This is a war someone will win and someone will lose," he told WND (http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=58178) during an exclusive one-on-one interview.
"Whoever perseveres and whoever has the strongest will, will in fact win and that's why we can't give up," he said.
He was responding to WND's question about the likelihood of another terrorist attack similar to 9/11 on U.S. soil.
"There's almost an inevitability, not just a possibility," he said. "It will happen again. And it'll happen because we face an enemy that is not a nation-state that can be contained within borders and boundaries, because their war is not about borders and boundaries.
"Islamofascism is rooted in a theocratic Islamic jihadism that seeks to destroy and annihilate every last one of us. It wants to establish a complete Islamic theocracy across the world and for that to happen it means our culture has to be completely snuffed out," he said.

"Mike Huckabee has been a reliable cheerleader for the administration, too, and like each of the others he claims to be the only unswerving champion of conservatism in the field.
"As we have had occasion to observe, that is not exactly his record as governor of Arkansas. He shepherded greater tax hikes into law than any governor in Arkansas history all for worthy causes, we think and expanded government services for the poor. If it is a proud record, it is not one that is commonly associated with Republicans....
"From time to time, most often in New Hampshire, Huckabee has betrayed some of the progressive compassion that marked the old liberal camp of the Republican Party...."

I think maybe Mike Huckabee is toast. Sorry.
Man...this is some powerful stuff by Huckabee. I wish Bush had his brimstone.
I think Huckabee is right and it only reinforces the idea that this will be a big, and a long (decades at least), struggle.
I agree with you, but I think we should set aside Huckabee’s open borders/nanny-statism for a second and revel in his excellent comments here.
Will Huckabee walk the walk?
Let us hope we win!
President Bush has said the same thing over and over.....
Too bad you’re for open borders.
Bye, bye Huck.
I like this! He is one of the few who acknowledges that Islam plans a total attack on our culture, and that there can be only one victor - and that he wants it to be our side!
Between this, his good social and Constitutional positions, and his Fair Tax support, I’m feeling pretty positive about Huckabee.
