Mel Brooks needs no apologies. It’s great to be the king.

I still have an LP soundtrack of "High Anxiety", which has songs from his earlier movies on the flip side. I think Putting on the Ritz is on there.

And you can't beat:
"He rode a Blazing Saddle!
He wore a Shining Star!
His job to offer battle to bad men near and far!
He conquered fear and he conquered hate
He turned dark night into day!
He made his blazing saddle a torch to light the way!"

Ouch! what does that last line even mean?
But he made good use of a bullwhip as a musical instrument.
