Here’s a nice link everyone should check out re the Frosts’ and SCHIP:

The writer argues for socialized medicine, just like Canada, saying that it’s good for business (and apparently for the big auto makers). The only problem with that is, it isn’t working very well for the citizens of Canada. That’s a minor detail that the writer conveniently refuses to address.
From the article:
[Finally there is the issue of competitiveness. I’ll let General Motors of Canada make the argument for me.
“The Canadian plan has been a significant advantage for investing in Canada,” says GM Canada spokesman David Patterson, noting that in the United States, GM spends $1,400 per car on health benefits. Indeed, with the provinces sharing 75 percent of the cost of Canadian healthcare, it’s no surprise that GM, Ford and Chrysler have all been shifting car production across the border at such a rate that the name “Motor City” should belong to Windsor, not Detroit.
Just two years ago, GM Canada’s CEO Michael Grimaldi sent a letter co-signed by Canadian Autoworkers Union president Buzz Hargrave to a Crown Commission considering reforms of Canada’s 35-year-old national health program that said, “The public healthcare system significantly reduces total labour costs for automobile manufacturing firms, compared to their cost of equivalent private insurance services purchased by U.S.-based automakers.” That letter also said it was “vitally important that the publicly funded healthcare system be preserved and renewed, on the existing principles of universality, accessibility, portability, comprehensiveness and public administration,” and went on to call not just for preservation but for an “updated range of services.” CEOs of the Canadian units of Ford and DaimlerChrysler wrote similar encomiums endorsing the national health system.]
Presume you are refering to Pelosi nee Delassandro. Found several sites that make similar claim but wonder if you have some links.
Is that tattoos on her feet?
That would be my guess. I would also guess the amount involved is not large, since it is in District Court, not Circuit Court.
Woodstock comes to Baltimore.
All Socialists Medicine does is add in layers of Govt Bureaucrats in place of the Insurance Companies. There is no such thing as “free” anything.
Rush credited FR when he first talked about this issue, but Malkin has done much to take the story further. Unlike other reporters who have ignored the commercial property/tenant issue, she actually interviewed one of the tenants and learned it was his belief the grandparents helped pay the tuition at Park. She also learned there was a second tenant at the Frosts commercial property. For all the heat she took about her “stalking” , she stated that other blogs estimates of 500k for the home were high. (I only reported that a home a few doors down sold for 485k that was 1000sf smaller and also an end unit like the Frosts.)
She also broke the story about the 3 SUV’s owned by the Frosts. Keeping in mind the Frosts actually took time to dispute counter top material, the fact no one has denied the 3 suv’s is telling. (the counter tops were not granite as I said they “appeared” to be in the Sun photo- but were instead concrete-which are MORE expensive)
This dates back to the days when Bal'more was essentially a Belgian city. The incoming Greeks, Ukrainians, Italians, Poles, African-Americans and others decided they liked the custom (which set them apart from everybody else in America) and kept it up.
I can't imagine how crass and corrupt these people are to replace the marble stoop with cheap brick.
I know women who grew up in the city scrubbing mom's steps every weekend.
If either of them showed up to apply for a real job where I work, they would be told they will be screened for drugs while being handed the application.
Heh! The one about the fancy new pumpkin was also pretty good.
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
Rocky, “How mush do you think he eats?”
Mick, “About 202 lbs!”
Ring announcer, “Weighing in at 202 lbs, Rocky Balboa!”
Nothing to do with this but I love Rocky quotes.
I really like them all except #5.
Even the new one is enjoyable. His plastic surgery looks awful.
#1-2-3 were clearly the best. 4 was ok and 5 worthless...lol
I thought #3 with Mr. T was the most quotable.
#5 was just terrible.
I am glad that Talia Shire (?) was not in the last movie. I have never liked her in anything and she was always the one trying to bring Rocky down. I was always hoping that he would have left her in the LA Hood or in Russia when he went back to basics to train!
