So he “surrenders” to an authority that frequently paroles terrorists on their promise to “eschew” violence? Now there is a deal.
I guess our 17 dead crewmen can rest easy tonight, knowing this clown "eschews violence." Two things we desperately need: an "Official Secrets" act, and a (real, not movie-version) "double-0 Section". The 00's first assignment should be Mr. Badawi (before he gets out of house arrest next week).
This is big!
I suppose it’ll be front page on the NYTs in the morning. /s
December?? The Cole was bombed on October 12, almost 7 years ago to the day.
fyi
Badawi is believed to have surrendered to authorities after negotiations with the government to halt attacks in exchange for a reduced sentence or freedom if he promises to eschew violence. Yemen has had a revolving door policy of jailing and releasing al Qaeda operatives in exchange for promises to lay down their arms. Thanks E.

The most important question in my mind is this:
Were the hijackers of the airline up the coast in Jeddah accomplices who were fleeing after the bombing of the USS Cole?
October 14 2000 Two Saudi Arabian Al Qaeda operatives hijack a Saudi Airlines Boeing 777 bound from Jeddah to London and fly it to Baghdad. They are given asylum by SADDAM HUSSEIN’s government.
On 12 October 2000, while under the command of Commander Kirk Lippold, the Cole was attacked from a small boat by Al-Qaida[citation needed] suicide bombers, while she was harbored in the Yemeni port of Aden. Seventeen sailors were killed and 39 were injured. The U.S. government offered a reward of up to US $5 million for information leading to the arrest or conviction of those persons who committed or aided in the attack on Cole. On 4 November 2002, Ali Qaed Sinan al-Harthi, who is believed to have planned the attack, was killed by the CIA using an AGM-114 Hellfire missile launched from an MQ-1 Predator unmanned drone.
Put a bullet into his temple as soon as he’s released.
Strap this POS to a water board for the rest of his (short) life.
Not a word about this on the MSM outlets...
Tortured then drawn and quartered on pay per view with proceeds going to the victims families.
Great news!
But the MSM won’t be reporting it of course.
