This is the problem with war. It is terribly messy. This is why no one wants war. No matter how hard you try, innocent people will get killed.
Is this story true? I don’t know. How could I possibly know? I know innocent Americans and Iraqis have been killed. Was there another option?
Of course we celebrated the first free elections in Iraq. Do any of us think the Perfect Human Being was elected? I certainly didn’t. I just thought it was a big step in the right direction, away from tyranny.
War is ugly, miserable, and difficult. Abuses will occur, I am sure. I believe most in charge are not in favor of it, but no war is without its abuses. Many false charges have been flung against our soldiers, who I think are doing an incredibly good job. I’m not going to sit in judgement of any of them. We did not start this war. We just need to end it.
