It it weren’t for the dissolution of the Templar order none of these idiots would have ever been born.

Celibate knights don’t have descendents.

Did they even think about that?

Celibate Knights do not have descendants WHILE they are under ‘The Rule’ of the Knights Templar. However many were landed Knights who passed on some of their wealth to their sons, gave the rest to the Templars, and lived out the rest of their life as a penitent serving Christ in their chosen vocation of making war.

So many Knights Templars did have descendants even without the dissolution of the Templar Order, and the wholesale murder and slander of their name probably didn’t make a bunch of former Knights Templar decide to get married settle down and have children. They went into hiding, and probably still tried to embrace the Rule and meet in secret and confess their sins to the brotherhood.
