Ok, you got me there. I was thinking of him as a candidate and of his track record as governor of CA since we're thinking of this list as a precursor to selecting a candidate. During his presidency, he did blow it. No doubt about that. And the reasons we heard later about how the Dems promised border security and that he admitted amnesty was a big mistake don't take away that it was his responsibility. But you gotta admit, his calling it amnesty and saying it was a mistake is heads above what the current administration is doing.

No, I don't--signing an amnesty into law and later saying he was wrong doesn't change the fact that he signed an amnesty into law, something Bush hasn't done. Yet.
