Stiiiiill Going (Michelle Malkin Leaves Bill O'Reilly, Geraldo in Her Dust)
MichelleMalkin.com ^ | Monday, October 15, 2007 | Michelle Malkin

Posted on 10/15/2007 10:18:35 PM PDT by kristinn

I’ve been writing newspaper columns for 15 years, writing books since 2002, and blogging since 2004. I’ve lost track of how many times the nutroots have gleefully declared my demise.

Oh, how they wish, wish, wish it were so!

The latest moonbat tempest in a teapot concerns an e-mail response I sent to readers over the weekend who have been asking about my absence from the O’Reilly Factor. I had received several hundred messages and it was wrong to keep ignoring long-time fans wondering what happened. I took the time to personally respond to each inquiry. It is an awkward situation, but I answered straightforwardly:

Thanks so much for your kind words. Much appreciated. I made the decision to quit appearing on the O’Reilly show in response to the poor handling of the Geraldo Rivera matter (in case you hadn’t heard, he threatened to spit on me because of my views about illegal immigration and his staged “apology” on The Factor was a complete farce). I won’t go into details, but please know that your support means a lot to me. You can catch me on other Fox News shows and read my daily blog posts and weekly columns at MichelleMalkin.com.

I did not plan on blogging it and making a big to-do. It is what it is. But some blabbermouth apparently forwarded the e-mail to a cable TV gossip blog. The left-o-sphere picked it up from there (interesting how all of these same blogs ignored the spitting threat in the first place), now spreading wild rumors that I’ve been fired, concocting imaginary scenarios of tearful resignations, tinfoil-rattling in hopes that there’s some other conspiratorial reason behind my decision, falsely asserting that it was somehow related to my coverage of the S-CHIP debate, etc., etc., etc.

The funniest comment by far comes from far Left zealots who couldn’t possibly believe that I would walk away from more airtime since I am, of course, such a media whore.

Two words: Stop projecting.

Continue to knock yourselves out, loons! Always glad to provide therapeutic benefits. Indeed, for many, it’s just another golden opportunity to wish out loud for my death or rape. See, for example: Digg.

Maybe you will get your wish and I will get hit by a truck someday. Until then, I’ll keep writing. You keep hatin’.

Wow, what a cavalcade of scumbags on digg.

Most sites are like this they only have a peripheral knowledge of anything (War is bad, Coulter is Evil, etc.) I’m surprised they’re not fans of the king of peripheral knowledge Bill O’Reilly.

So many of these young punks full of bile, so many of them cancelling out our votes.

Ya think? ;) With blogger names like assho, wreckosaurus, wetmetalthong and yomomaisfat, we aren’t talking great intellect here, more like simple self-loathing.

Agreed. I had started watching BOR again after Malkin began appearing. I’ve quit again.

O'Reilly (and maybe his producers) may be the only one who knows why he's cozying up to Sharpton. For sure, he's throwing a curve to his conservative audience.

While I can't figure out the stupid and despicable agenda of the U.S. Congress, BOR has also become an enigma. IMO, they are too full of their own importance.

While we don't have to watch The Factor, the other pompous asses in DC have to be brought down a few pegs.

I suggest a conservative delegation from each state organize a face-to-face meeting with Congressman and Senators. It would require organization but, what the h_ll, we've put men on the moon!

Brit Hume is Fox’s saving virtue.......

Too bad that Brit Hume is now banished from the working class on the West Coast.

Special Report airs at 3:00PM Pacific Time, and doesn't air again until midnight. Those of us who work for a living don't get to see Brit anymore.

FNC used to show Special Report at 9:00PM Pacific Time, but that messed up the faux hand-offs between shows when shown out of order. So now, they repeat the FNC lineup beginning with O'Reilly, and Special Report is replayed at midnight, when most of us working stiffs are sleeping.

Oh, and I don't think they really care, either.

They've written off California, Oregon, and Washington as liberal strongholds, and don't care if we don't get Brit Hume anymore.

It's just another example of "inside the Beltway" thinking corrupting a Good Thing.

o’reilly doesn’t deserve a cup of michelle’s warm spit-she is a truth teller and a lady and has more intelligence and common sense in her fingertips than o’reilly and olbermann combined in their whole bodies-and as far as geraldo rivera goes-he is not a stupid man,but he is an opportunistic slimeball and a shill for illegal aliens who changed his name to sound more “latino”-i guess he was ashamed of being half jewish like that hate-america mystery writer walter moseley-these guys make me want to puke-michelle sees through all the politically correct bs and won’t pander to it-and btw as far as anyone can tell, she lives a normal upright personal life as a wife and mother-not like o’reilly who sexually harrases employees with his sick little fantasies and then has the nerve to criticize other pervs

Bill likes to boast about his ratings. Well, the conservative market is probably already saturated w/ Bill. In order to go up, he needs to crossover, and i think he’s courting certain types (Al Sharpton’s people for example, whoever they are). He also alluded to the Freepsite as sort of a right wing version of the daily kos. It’s stupid. He lost me for a week just over that—in order to get a dig into daily kos, he gave up the freepers. Ok, eff u Bill, click (My XM radio station went to John Gibson)

One important dictum Bill needs to remember is ‘A friend to all is a friend to none.’
He’s apparently starting to believe his own declaration that he’s purely fair and balanced instead of just more fair and balanced than everyone else. It’s the latter.

The media overall is more balanced with Fox because Fox is a little to the right. If Fox were neutral, then the entire media would be so far left, the country would fall into the Pacific.

If I want news, I go read actual news—in fact I usually go to CNN which has a greater variety of stories (ducking).

If I want to hear other people who share my general opinion about things and look at things through my mostly conservative pair of glasses, I tune into Fox.

William oughta keep this in mind.

"O’Reilly has been straddling the fence so long for ratings he has neutered himself."

I don't care who you are, that's a great one there.
