Jack I got original Godzilla on DVD yeah one with Perry Mason and Japanese version that started it I have replace old one because it on VHS I ran so many times
Believe or not this what I don’t get how come Japanese never figure out that Godzilla was Half American it part of US Navy using nuke bomb in Sea of Japan HELLO he is Half Japanese and Half American

The original “Godzilla”, with Raymond Burr as reporter, Steve Martin was actually a rather clever idea cooked up by a B-Movie producer (Not Roger Corman, but one of his ilk) who bought the Toho film, “Gojira” and inter-cut scenes with Burr for American audiences.
Absolutely hated the CGI’ed “Godzilla 2000” and later Matthew Broderick re-makes.
If it ain’t some guy in a rubber suit tearing up downtown Tokyo.... It ain’t Godzilla!
