Rush Limbaugh Turns the Tables
Fox News ^ | October 15, 2007 | John Gibson

Remember that stink manufactured a week or so ago about Rush Limbaugh?

Forty-one Democrat senators signed a letter to Limbaugh's boss demanding he be officially scolded over the "phony soldier" flap.

The letter is evidently worth a lot of money and the money is going to the children of Marines and law enforcement who have died in the line of duty.

So the eBay online auction site has now bumped the letter's value up to $45,000.

The bidding pre-screening is entirely a financial matter . . .

That would never happen. Bush would never want to make the 41 traitors feel bad, would he?

Rush said on his show when he announced the auction (he'd actually announced it the night before at a Rush to Excellence event) that he wanted to screen out the Democrats and their minions to keep them from getting the letter back. That may have changed, but it's what he said he was going to do.

I don’t think you can screen anyone out any eBay bidders on the basis of political beliefs. But what he can do is out bid everyone. And then donate it to some kind of Republican memorial. Maybe the Ronald Reagan Library would take it — doubt it but it would be cool. And of course I am assuming Rush will donate all the proceeds to the Marines.

Rush is a marketing genius.

Sniping automatically kinda takes the fun out of it, but not everyone can be around to watch an auction end at some wierdo hour at home. (that “work” thing ya know).

I used to open two browsers at the same time, and a stopwatch. On one page I would hit refresh and watch the bidding. It’s exciting - even if it’s not a big-ticket item it is fun to outbid someone by a penny or two with one second to go. (maybe not so fun for the other guy, but hey.. lol)

Good morning all! Miss Didi was the first to announce yesterday that Rush was going to be on Fox & Friends this morning between 8:30-9:00. We don’t know how to post a new thread and wanted this news to be noticed by more people. Could someone do this soon so more folks will get to see Rush this morning? Thanks!
