I ask the Rat Party (formerly the traditional, patriotic Democratic Party) again, Why stop with Turkey? why not add Germany to Resolution 106, that would really cause headaches for President Bush.

No doubt German personnel, from Kaiser Wilhelm II on down, participated in the genocide both actively and passively.

Genocide still exists, and we saw it in Rwanda; we see it now in Darfur," she told ABC's "This Week" in an interview broadcast Sunday.

And you IGNORED it in Rwanda while 800,000 men women and children were hacked, shot and burned to death. They plead for help = and Clinton instructed HalfRight to stand at the UN podium and DENY there was any evidence of genocide.

And what are you doing for the tens of thousands being slaughtered, as you speak through your lying, plastic face, in Darfur. Oh, I forgot. Your clown, Carter, went to Darfur. He says nothing to see there.

This murderous (if they bring about what they hope by getting our supply routes to our troops shut down, many of our troops will die) traitorous scum of the earth (apologies to other scum of the earth) need to be shut down.

I hope any of you that did your part in assuring that Pelosi, Reid et al, got control in the last election, to "teach the republicans a lesson" are happy with what you have helped wrought. You are equally guilty with anything that happens as a result of this monstrous, deliberate act perpetrated for persoal and political gain.

(for the rest of us, I ask you join me in praying for my grandson (Airborne TF in Afghanistan) and all our other troops that they are not the victims of this heinous act.)

The state department is responsible for leaving this mack truck opening.

It is not just the life diplomats, it is Rice and before her, Powel who set up this diplomatic issue. If it was not this non-binding resolution, the Turkish government would have found some OTHER issue to grab the US by the short hairs.

Sadly cowboy diplomacy would probably be useful at this point. Desk jockey diplomacy has done nothing well.

Nice work, Pelosi. This should have been brought up decades ago, but the fact that she decides to do it NOW is clearly an attempt to undermine our relations with Turkey and cut off supplies to the military.

Ummm errr, let's see, it's o.k. to bomb Orthodox Christian Serbs, and it's o.k. to massacre Armenians, many of whom were Orthodox Christians. The timing of this resolution will have no bearing on the success or failure of this politically correct war.

The Turks are getting big money for the trans shipment of U.S. cargo. They are not willing to give up that money, as easy as many of you are willing to give up the lives of other Christians who do not belong to your denomination, regardless of whether they died last week or one hundred years ago, at the hand of islamists.

"It is a statement made by 23 other countries. We would be the 24th country to make this statement. Genocide still exists, and we saw it in Rwanda; we see it now in Darfur," she (Pelosi) told ABC's "This Week" in an interview broadcast Sunday.

Pelosi is sending a message of hope to Rwanda and Darfur; "We (Democrats) will get around to you in 90 years with a useless resolution. The time isn't right to use you as political pawns yet. Hang in there we're on the way."

The world has been aware of the horror and the crimes for more than 100 years (counting the genocide / massacres of 1895-96). Now it's revealed below why it continues and Americans are dragged into it. America: home to Arab Muslims v. Israel and now this.

[O]ur true demand is compensation for this injustice. The world must know about what happened, and we have to a great extent succeeded. The Turkish side is well aware that the step to follow the admission of the Armenian Genocide by Turkey will be a demand for compensation and return of the lands. This is the reason why Turkey will not admit the Armenian Genocide, thereby trying to force the Armenians to stop at this stage, so that we keep demanding the admission of the Genocide for hundreds of years and will be unable to go to the next step. I declare with all responsibility that it is not so, the admission of the Armenian Genocide is of no value. Our demands are: Turkey must compensate for the damages and return our lands. Our demands do not depend on the recognition of the Armenian Genocide before going on to the next steps. This is the reason that a symposium recently was held at the University of Southern California. Renowned specialists in international law were invited. They explained the rights the Armenian people have under international law, and to which courts Armenians could apply to settle this issue. Now specialists must study the lawyers’ advice and decide which issue should be submitted to which court, as there is the International Court of Justice, European Court of Human Rights, US Federal Courts, etc. This is a most important issue. It must be studied with all seriousness, because, if we lose in court, Turkey will claim that Armenians have no legal demands.

A difference made by a word, genocide, will not make the horrors any worse besides..

Resolution 106 or not, the goal is honestly stated above.

If Turkey had seized the land I'd be for giving it back as minimal compensation. I believe that history states that the borders were dictated by Europeans; besides, the Kurds have dibs on eastern Turkey. Now what?

Other reasons for making our Nation a boxing ring are stated in the refreshingly honest article linked here.

"Bush needs to get out in front of this before Pelosi destroys our relationship with Turkey."

No,

It is very sad, very ominous, and very certain, that Bush needs to get out in front of this before the left can scream "Bush's fault" because Turkey turned to crap in our path. He needs to get out in front to hammer the American people with the FACT that it was a demo/socialist coven that finally pushed Turkey over the edge, finally put the knife into the Kurd's back, and finally managed to make our efforts in Iraq into a quagmire.

It can no longer be treated as an international, WOT, event - he needs to react NOW to make it clear that this entire episode is a created crisis intended by Pelosi, Kennedy, and cohorts as a means to undermine US foreign policy and national interests.

It's an issue that must be dealt with as internal and no longer international.

Otherwise, we lose.

Odds are that Jorge will simply continue to go through the motions while concentrating on his obligations to a neighboring cess pool.
