The Apostle Paul said earlier in Romans 2:

That is what Ann was referring to. She did nothing more than express extremely common Christian scripture and doctrine.
Ann's underestimated the bibilical illiteracy of America.
Deutsch put quite a bit of effort in TRYING to put words into her mouth.....in fact, so much that it sounds intentional, but he failed to do so.

I have to disagree. Not with her version of Christianity, but with other versions of Christianity. Calvinism, for example.
One of the formative works of American Calvinism is the poem “Day of Doom”, by Michael Wigglesworth, a neurotic and sick individual, tormented by feelings of inferiority and repressed homosexuality, and rife with idealistic pessimism. In short, everything that Calvinism stood and stands for.
It is a poem about Judgment Day, in which a stern and cruel Jesus sits on his hard throne and judges mankind, not as individuals, but as groups. And almost all are condemned to Hell because they have failed Him. A mere handful of wealthy and powerful Calvinists are saved.
“Infant damnation and grace abounding.” Where a Calvinist preacher would attend a bereaved family, and assure them that their mentally ill daughter was indeed condemned to Hell because she had committed suicide. Teaching in their church that the wealthy and powerful are blessed, and the poor and downtrodden are cursed, the favoritism of God shown on Earth. It is a bitter and unhappy faith.
And what of some of the Orthodox Christian churches? Bowing and scraping before icons and graven images, with Priests little more than shaman, selling blessings and magical potions.
Even the embrace of Catholicism around the world has often been tainted with pagan beliefs. The great cult of “Santa Muerta”, and re-named Aztec deities in Mexico, the Voodoo Christianity of the Caribbean and South America, and the bottom of the barrel, Episcopalianism.
No, the Christianity of Ann Coulter, and most of those here, is a far cry from Christianity in many parts of the world.

A few months ago, Pope Benedict declared that the fullness of truth lies in the Catholic faith. Some people were shocked and offended. Why is that? Why would anyone follow a religious belief unless he believed that that religion was the one true way to salvation?

Well, in the context of 21st century America, this statement seems innocuous enough - she is just stating her beliefs. And it would have been innocuous when the Christians were still just a minority sect in the Roman Empire. But once Christianity became the state religion under Constantine and later on throughout Europe, such statements took on more ominous implications, - when religion became a matter of life or death and Europeans were preoccupied with the question of what to do with "their Jews." Should they convert and assimilate them, or ghettoize them, or expel them, or kill them. When you put these kinds of statements in the historical context of 2000 years, you can see why some people get the willies.
