LMAO, couldn’t happen to a bigger putz. I don’t know though, isn’t this attributing too much integrity to an awards program that has proven itself to have none over the years?

In keeping with the academy’s actions over the years, they’d almost have to reject this request. Honoring it would so go against everything they have stood for.

Look, the academey plays to the liberal set. They wouldn’t want to offend them.

Agreed   :-)

I don’t know though, isn’t this attributing too much integrity to an awards program that has proven itself to have none over the years?

Although I agree that the Academy Awards have been entirely political and have had zero integrity for decades, I would suggests that efforts like this, although small and quickly overlooked, are important nevertheless because they at least make an effort ot point out the serious deficiencies in the Academy Awards and shows an interest in improving them.  Should they just be allowed to go on as they have, handing out meaningless awards for politically-correct people in politically correct films, or should they be prompted and urged to improve themselves?

I for one would respect and enjoy watching the Academy Awards if they were honest.  Is it likely to happen?  No.  Does that mean we should all give up on pursuing the truth?  I don't think so.

In keeping with the academy’s actions over the years, they’d almost have to reject this request. Honoring it would so go against everything they have stood for.

And step one would be revoking Michael Moore's awards.
