The illegal criminal is only “looking” at 6 years behind bars for killing 2 people? Even if he got the max, he’ll be out in 2 years. I don’t supose he’ll get any time for DUI, driving without a license, or being here illegally. We should have a counter for all the US citizens killed by illegals.

That’s what I don’t get. If that illegal, or anyone of course, kills someone with a “weapon” (I put that in quotes because IMO with a drunk driver behind the wheel a car is most definitely a weapon) they’d be facing (hopefully!) life in prison.
Why is it that when a drunk driver or reckless driver kills someone with their car they face what amounts to a legal slap on the wrist?
