Fred Thompson Grabs Top Presidential Site Traffic Seat

Former Senator Fred Thompson topped the presidential campaign site traffic charts in September, surpassing all other presidential candidate sites. The TV star pushed Congressman Ron Paul out of the number one position held by his site among Republican candidates since May, while longtime site traffic leader Barack Obama maintained his top ranking among Democratic presidential hopefuls.

Notably, according to exclusive information provided to ClickZ News by Hitwise, while Yahoo and Google drove about a third of the traffic to the top Republican and Democratic candidate sites, some site traffic to RonPaul2008.com actually arrived from the site of his opponent, Mitt Romney...

For Republican candidate sites, Hitwise showed official campaign sites promoting John McCain, Rudy Giuliani, Duncan Hunter and Sam Brownback all dropped in share, while maintaining the four lowest rankings also held in August. McCain's site traffic fell the most of the four, from 12.5 percent in August to below 7 percent last month.

Paul's site lost 16 points, falling from over 42 percent share of traffic to Republican candidate sites in August to about 26 percent in September. Traffic to the official site for Mitt Romney dropped by more than half to around 8 percent share among Republicans, moving from second to fourth place in September.

September marks the first month Hitwise has tracked traffic to the campaign site of Thompson, a relatively late entry to the presidential race.

As for sites driving traffic to the top presidential candidates' Web homes, Google's main search site dominated, pushing over 20 percent of site traffic to Fred08.com and BarackObama.com. Yahoo properties drove about 11 percent of Web traffic to Thompson's site and about 8 percent to Obama's...

Meanwhile, the Romney site actually drove 2 percent of traffic to rival Thompson's site, Fred08.com.

A little information from the Rasmussen site:

“Nearly three-quarters of the interviews were conducted following Tuesday’s early evening televised debate. Roughly half were conducted after the debate was reported in the Wednesday newspapers. On Monday, Rasmussen Reports noted that the past three weeks has shown a clear decline in support for Thompson, but our analysis said it’s not clear that Fred is fizzling. On Tuesday, it was noted that Thompson’s numbers had declined on each individual night of the four day tracking poll. However, that trend reversed on Wednesday and Thursday.”

That last sentence indicates his numbers could be rising again. They say it isn’t clear whether Fred has fizzled.

Giuliani?

Do you mean Rudith?

Perhaps this Rudith?

Maybe this one?

How about `ol Stonwall Rudi?

New York City 2001 Gay Pride Parade It was less than three months before the unknowing and horrific September 11th, 2001, attacks (that's two) on New York City, that N.Y.C. Mayor Rudy Giuliani hosted his "8th Annual Gay Pride Celebration" at Gracie Mansion in Manhattan, New York. It was held on Thursday, June 21, 2001, and for the first time, at the perennial urging of S.V.A. President Williamson Henderson, and a few others, it was held not as an early morning breakfast but as an evening cocktail party.

And for the 11 point lead? Try updating to todays info...

Friday, October 12, 2007

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows Rudy Giuliani with a double-digit lead for the third straight day in the race for the Republican Presidential Nomination. Giuliani is supported by 28% of Likely Primary Voters, ten points ahead of Fred Thompson who earns support from 18%. Mitt Romney slipped another point to 14%, John McCain is steady at 10% and while Mike Huckabee remains at 6% (see recent daily numbers).

Fred has fizzled, he is old and tired, his illness is going to catch back up with him also. His wife is too young as well. Also don’t forget his political stances on open boarders, his CFR membership and the fact is is pro abortion and let Clinton off the hook...

Spread the word on these facts about FDT so he can rise even further and win the nomination...

It seems to be working so far...

voters continue to see him as the most conservative candidate in the field. Fifty-one percent (51%) of Republican voters now see the former Tennessee Senator as politically conservative. That’s up from 48% a month ago.

That cannot be true! Hillary's people say that Fred is just as liberal as she is. And they wouldn't lie to me, would they?

You’re joking right? Good grief I hope so. Every single one of your ‘facts’ has been refuted here on FR.
