Majorities of young people in America describe modern-day Christianity as judgmental, hypocritical and anti-gay. What's more, many Christians don't even want to call themselves "Christian" because of the baggage that accompanies the label.

There are plenty of good kids in this country. That said, what should we expect the other kids to think when all the MSM & Hollywood does is bash Christians?

I read the article. Total BS. What they call “judgment”, I call just having a sense of right and wrong. Stupid damn kids today don’t seem to be able to understand the difference between being judgmental and using your judgment.

So, in a few years they (and Hollywood) will probably start converting to Islam, the world’s only non-judgmental, non-hypocritical, and pro-gay “religion.” It’s just so cool to dress up funny, learn some exotic foreign words, and pray with your butt in the air like a duck dipping for food in a pond.

So let me get this straight, if somebody wants to get into a depressing, loveless, unhealthy, and barren lifestyle, I should encourage them to, because I love them, and don’t want to judge them?

From the article:

“Andy Stanley, senior pastor of North Point Ministries in Atlanta, suggested that churches should not focus solely on converting people, as has been the emphasis for generations.

“If we were able to rewrite the script for the reputation of Christianity, I think we would put the emphasis on developing relationships with non-believers, serving them, loving them, and making them feel accepted,” he wrote.”

Yes, make unrepentant sinners feel accepted. That’s FAR more important than saving their souls! Yeah, ignore that sin stuff. It’s so old school!

I wonder what Andy’s father, Charles Stanley thinks about his son’s views?

An item that should be added to the list: ‘And they can’t take criticism.’

You can't save someone's soul by dragging them to church and getting them to cynically mouth pieties. Too many churches today produce Churchians, not Christians.

Setting a good example and letting *true* seekers find their own path to salvation is the only way to go IMO. Although YMMV.

I think the “stupid damn kids of today” are a direct result of the stupid damn parenting that started immediatedly after the so called peace love and rock and roll decade of the 60’s.

“but not Hypocrites.”

Just another term that the left is succeeding in redefining.

Where it used to mean someone who condemns others for behavior he condones in himself, it now means anyone who in any way fails — even once — to live up to the most rigorous interpretation of the Christian moral code.

No room for human weakness; no room for error; no room for repentance. Stumble once, and you become one more piece of proof that all Christians are hypocrites.

I don’t know either of them, but perhaps you do. If Andy Stanley was accurately quoted in the article, he’s WAY off course. What’s this bunk about the “reputation” of Christianity? This isn’t a popularity contest...it’s about saving people from HELL.

The world crucified our leader, and we should expect no less. If, by God’s grace, we are treated better in these times...be thankful! Harder times will come.

What's more, many Christians don't even want to call themselves "Christian" because of the baggage that accompanies the label.

Then they don't know what Christ is all about.

If the persecution of the media and homosexuals (in many cases one in the same with agressive "gay" reporters) is too much for you, then your faith is a mile wide and an inch thin.

There are Christians all over the world being tortured, beaten, and imprisoned for the cause of Christ.

Too many Americans are so soft.

Everyone who acknowledges me before others I will acknowledge before my heavenly Father. But whoever denies me before others, I will deny before my heavenly Father.”

Matthew 10:32-33

Charles Stanley is pastor at First Baptist Church, Atlanta, with a world wide following. He probably wonders how in the world he raised such a liberal thinking “Christian”.
