Al Gore and the IPCC have won the Nobel Peace Prize.
You've hit it on the head, I think. We have plenty of evidence that we are still emerging from an ice age. The genius is in finding a way to: A) Make it seem like a bad thing, and B) Blame it on the wealthiest and most productive nation in the world. After that, redistribution of wealth becomes much easier with guilt and fear driving people to pay off whatever thug pleads the greatest hardship (or noblest intentions).
I’ve got an old International bus up here in Alaska that Mr. Gore is more than welcome to live in.

Since solar radiation and water vapor are the 2 most significant factors contributing towards warming the earth, I believe the answer to your question is yes (i.e. the costs proposed by the UN interplanetary council’s “research” overwhelm any theoretical benefit).
This is the Euro’s way of encouraging Owl Gore to run for president again. And to endorse him as “the real president” who was “robbed” of office in 2000.

This award confers stature (well, it used to). So Gore now has what even Bill does not - at least by the Nobel metric.

My crazy mind points out to me that the world actually is a more peaceful place because of Gore. Can you imagine what things would have been like if he had won the presidency? You think his “reaction” to the 9/11 events would have resulted in a more peaceful world or a less peaceful world? Because he lost, there is more peace. . .
