Please join us. Support the troops and be a part of our peaceful counter-protest to Code Pink.
Don't let the troops think that regular Americans are too busy to support the troops and peacefully counter America-hating leftists.
Being there with us in spirit is great, but we need people to hold the MOAB (Mother of all banners), other signs, and flags. Maybe you can't come every week, but please make it your patriotic duty to join us at least once in the near future.
The troops do the hard stuff, facing bullets and bombs, surely you can come out to back them up.
As always, the DC Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect.
Briefly, they are: No violence. No profanity. No racism. No provocations. Obey the law. Treat all law enforcement officers with respect.
Fridays, 6:30 to 9:30 pm Walter Reed Army Medical Center, 7200 Georgia Ave., at Elder St., NW, Washington, DC
On street parking is usually easy to find and there is a parking lot at the corner of Georgia and Elder. Location is about 6 or 7 blocks from Takoma metro station and is walkable, but it is best if you get a ride. If you want a ride, FReepmail kristinn and me, preferably with your cell phone number as far in advance as possible. If you wait until Friday afternoon, it may be too late to coordinate a Metro ride. One or both of us will try to arrange for someone to pick you up at the metro station.
DC Chapter ping.
Please bump the thread and join us some Friday.
The great love and support the Democrats (and other Leftists) have for our troops can be seen in the lack of reporting (and favorable comment) on the current success in Iraq. The troops are of concern (or, better said, of use) to the Left when they’re taking casualties, and when their efforts can be “spun” as unsuccessful.
The great love and support the Democrats (and other Leftists) have for our troops can be witnessed in how those troops are treated in liberal bastions like San Fransicko.
That comment Durbin made on the Senate Floor is beyond reproach. And, I'm being nice. But, that comment really gets my ire.
Great report BillF. You hit the nail on the head about who supports the Real Soldiers and who just wants to be a Phoney supporter . Thanks.
[Mrs T]
Thanks for the ping.

First, Limbaugh was defending real soldiers from the actual slanders from McBeth and other phonies who falsely claim that our troops have committed atrocities.
LOL "escape notice"? Gimme a break - the MSM wears blinders. Blinders they put on every morning.
The MSM doesn't want to see the things that don't fit their world view.
They "prejudge" -- what we used to call prejudice...
Really - it's not a failure to notice - they work very hard "not to see" the obvious.
Well done. Thanks for the links.

And that's a fact, GOPJ. In two and-a-half years of standing in support of our troops at Walter Reed on Friday nights, I have watched as a Fox (local?) News truck, a WJLA (local ABC TV affiliate) News truck, a WUSA (local CBS TV affiliate) News truck, and a couple of spanish-language TV news trucks drove right past our crowds of real troop supporters without a sidewards glance.
Well, the wounded soldiers and their families see us, and that's what's important. Some have asked "Why doesn't the media show this?" Well, by the silence of the MSM about Americans who support our troops at regular rallies like WRAMC, the soldiers learn that (sadly) our MSM is agenda-driven, and not to be trusted as a fair and unbiased source of news.
A pox on the MSM.
God Bless our troops!
Bump
And God Bless you tgslTakoma for standing in support of our troops at Walter Reed. You're right, the MSM's like a pack of mad dogs chasing an illusionary rabbit...
FReepmail me to be added to or deleted from this once-weekly ping list.
For the life of me I can’t figure out how they justify doing this in front of these wounded soldiers, and not blab their opinions instead in front of the decision makers. How can they be their target audience? So... if their child is paralyzed in a car accident by a drunk driver, I should stand in front of their home, outside their child’s bedroom window and scream that she is maimed for life and hold up signs against drunk driving? I see no difference. Stupid, stupid, fools. Time to start identifying some human beings to a sub-human category.
You guys rock!
As usual, an awesome job from the REAL SOLDIERS’ SUPPORTERS!!!!!
Hugs for everyone (except trooprally, who is holding out for an in-person hug :))
Bump!
