Slash-and-burn columnist Ann Coulter shocked a cable TV talk-show audience Monday when she declared that Jews need to be "perfected" by becoming Christians, and that America would be better off if everyone were Christian.
Coulter made the remarkable statements during an often heated appearance to promote her new book on advertising guru Danny Deutsch's CNBC show "The Big Idea."
In response to a question from Deutsch asking Coulter if "it would be better if we were all Christian," the controversial columnist responded: "Yes."
"We should all be Christian?" Deutsch repeated.
"Yes," Coulter responded, asking Deutsch, who is Jewish, if he would like to "come to church with me."
Deutsch, pressing Coulter further, asked, "We should just throw Judaism away and we should all be Christians?" She responded: "Yeah."
Coulter deflected Deutsch's assertion that her comments were anti-Semitic, matter-of-factly telling the show's obviously upset host, "That is what Christians consider themselves: perfected Jews."

My husband took a class in the Old Testament recently and told me that the ‘rules changed.’ All the who-begat-who was a lineage that went straight up. Having been raised with the New Testament, this was a shocker.
And of course, as sinners do, they messed up. Lambs et al were sacrificed, etc. and chances were given. And given again.
Regardless of her intentions, the timing is surely crucial to her new book release. Shame on her for that, at least.
Ann needs to lay off the meth, the crank...the eightballs. The girl’s gotta screw loose.
“I don’t agree with her its necessary for any one to convert to Christianity - or Islam to believe in God. All one has to do is believe in God and follow His teachings. The real problem isn’t that Jews haven’t converted. The real problem is the decline of faith in God in the West”
Being Christian means you believe in Christ as the savior and Son of God. You can be religious and believe in God.
Don’t you understand sarcasm? That is what the Muslim religion has been saying about Christians for ever. She just turned around to show you how stupid it sounds.
Read past the headline, Friend.
People are distorting her words, and putting others in her mouth.
Then how is it that you maintain your addition to Ann's comment would have mitigated the provocation? She certainly didn't get objections from the Jews who are also Christian.
Y’shua ping!

No, unfortunately, the persecution of Jews will never go out of style — which is why the God of Jerusalem “neither sleeps, nor doth he slumber.” And neither should those of us who love the Jewish State.
Now, as to Ann’s position, as she stated it — and not as Fox misquoted it — it is entirely in keeping with Christian orthodoxy. On the other hand, if I were Jewish, I would likely be offended. Though I would still love Ann.
If what she said (if she actually said it) upsets anyone, their argument is with God, not Ann.
Pity so many people put political correctness above the Truth — at the risk of others’ mortal souls.
I don't understand why you say "in recent decades". And what do refer to with "such beliefs"?
My impression is that from before Jefferson's code for Virginia Christian ideas about society have successfully been enacted into law and have influenced may judges. Good or bad, it's been going on since the beginning of our country.
I think the fuss is trumped up. She didn't say anything (in Fox's online account) about forced conversions or anything of the kind. She said it would be better if everyone were Christian. What's the problem?
The “left” in this country is completely disdainful of religion. What Ann Coulter did was not RACIAL or ETHNIC, but she made a religious comment.
What the dems are doing is mischaracterizing her Religious comment as a racial slur.
Yeah, this is just a hit by Hillary’s people. They’re trying to take down her critics one by one. And they can use the Bible because it’s Kryptonite to the liberals.
Good publicity for bombthrower Ann, something I suspect Republican candidates will have to be distancing themselves from, or not.
The real problem is the decline of practicing faith in God in the West. Many profess to be Christian without actually being so. Same with Jews and Muslims. They profess to be what their parents were, but that's as far as it goes, just words. FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD..............
