Conservatives have apparently lost their will to support a candidate that best represents conservative values. If that were not so, they would be supporting Duncan Hunter by the droves rather than whining about him having no chances of winning. I will continue to support the best qualified conservative candidate, Rep. Hunter, until he tells me to stop. I’d advise all others who consider themselves conservative to do likewise. Quitters never win.

Well said. Hunter is the only one that really excites me. I like all of his positions, I like his grasp of facts, and his presentation and demeanor. I like his personal history, and his choices for top issues. He has my vote for as long as he's in the race.

I'd also vote for Fred. I'd vote for Romney, too.

And, yes, I AM one of those Republicans who will not vote for Giuliani or McCain.

You make the assumption that everyone agrees with you that Duncan is the best qualified.

He’s an awesome Representative, a true Conservative, and is eminently qualified by his experience, education, and values.

That doesn’t make him the best qualified in everyone’s mind.

I agree it is strange that conservatives are not lining up behind Duncan Hunter in support of him. We are being handled by the wizards behind the screens and it is topsy turvy. Turn off the media, pundits, so called experts and so called conservative gurus. If they are leading us away from a conservative like Hunter we need to be asking ourselves why.

Thompson has yet to convince me he is a genuine conservative and he seems to be hiding from social conservatives ie. Christians. I am undecided on Thompson.

Huckabee is a question on his spending history.

There is no one else even worth considering in this race.

You are so right! It is amazing how many people call themselves conservative when they don’t even know the meaning of the word, then are so easily sold a prescription (a bill of goods) without checking out the list of dangerous side effects.
